Met with my brother's there for breakfast. Had a great time. I ordered biscuits and sausage gravy., really good and homemade.
Good portion size for the price, only thing about the food is they changed the way they cook their eggs and hash browns. They had a strong taste of oil, very greasy. Our waitress was very nice, very attentive to needing more coffee. This is the only place that we can find, Home Made Strawberry Rhubarb Pie that tastes fresh and not frozen from a box.
Had a solo breakfast here a few weeks back, food was okay. Nothing to write home about. Nothing really felt made from scratch. More like just came off the Sysco truck. Nothing was bad, but was very disappointed by the size and quality of the belgian waffle and side of sausage I had. And with a coffee, my breakfast was $17. The positive was that my server was great and attentive.

I was a walk-in from the hotel next door and on my own (boo hoo). The hostess was fun to talk to. I sat at the bar and had some nice chat with the servers. The food was great, I had a salad with chicken (too much road food) This was one of the only restaurants I have seen that has beef liver and onions outside of europe.
Wonderful service and food portions are huge and delicious!
If you like Keys, this is a great location to check out. Convenient location, friendly service and the really great Keys food you expect. Bonus...a drive through for coffee, and a small bar for wine and beer. Great place in Forest Lake!
We eat here every Sunday or bi-weekly as an extended family. it's our GO TO breakfast place. After today's experience, im gonna rethink that. I went in alone on Tuesday, but there was no issue. Today, I was picking up some bakery items I ordered, I asked if I could sit at the bar and have a coffee (latte) . Unfortunately, voices carried out when the hostess informed the waitress that she seated me. She stated, " were not a coffee house," and she should go somewhere else. Wow.... considering coffee is as much as some breakfast items, and i was picking up $25 inbakery items... I would think I could sit there for 10 minutes. When there were NO other customers. BAD BUSINESS to a really good customer.
They have a really large menu with plenty of choices and the waitress came back multiple times for us to make our choice. Very friendly wonderful food my wife was happy to get the leftover I couldn't eat it all. I took all my pastry which was delicious and they make them the same size they've had for long-time lot of people have cut their pastries and charge the same. always happy to go to keys Cafe.
Food was superb, and the waitress was very friendly. We really liked the homey atmosphere and look forward to eating there again soon.
The food here has always been great. The service is friendly but tends to be slow. It wouldn't stop me from coming though.
Keys cafe has always been great every time I have been here. I haven't ordered any of their bakery stuff yet, but the coffee drinks are always excellent, and whether you get their breakfast or lunch food, it is always great. The prices are reasonable and the service is always quick and friendly. The really like the tomato bisque soup because its extra thick.
I have always loved Keys. It’s a bit of a special treat since it’s not close to home. But today wasn’t so good. I ordered the garden omelet. The veggies were undercooked and the eggs tasteless. And the omelet plus coffee was nearly $20. I will reconsider eating there again.
If you find a lot of choices overwhelming, prepare to be overwhelmed! I visited with my extended family for brunch, and everyone got something different. I ordered a single egg and toast, which doesn't sound like a lot, but the bread is cut in such thick slices it puts Texas Toast to shame. Everything was delicious, our server was super friendly, and the casual atmosphere made it comfortable to talk without feeling like we were disturbing other patrons. I hope to eat here again the next time I go to MN.
The food was amazing! We went for breakfast while we were visiting the area. Service was super fast! Coffee was very tasty. If you are the area and you don't want the same stuff you get at home. Head to Keys! You will not be disappointed or leave hungry!

Food was good. I thought the portions were larger than need be. I have a good appetite and could not come close to finishing. Service was great, atmosphere was nice.
