Adorable little coffee shop in the heart of downtown. I love the basic, no frill vibe of this place. They only have 4 syrups: vanilla, maple, chocolate, and honey. The prices are decent and the coffee is excellent. Highly suggest a maple iced latte with oat milk!
Nice shop and good coffee!
A whole lotta roasting was goin on when I stopped by. Just an amazing smell and experience. It was venting outside and downtown Duluth has rarely smelled so good. Had a tasty cappuccino. High quality coffee and shop. Said thanks to the roasters as they are the folk that makes the world go round. Never fully appreciated them until now. Sorry bout that. Parking is on the street. A really pleasant and sunny place to sit and sip a coffee.
Great coffee, nice atmosphere, isnt too busy if you go at the right times. Very clean and didnt appear that cross contamination was too big a risk! (i have allergies) My only complaint is the parking, but there's not much they can do about that.
A go to spot for a pick-me-up at any point in the day. The DCC staff is friendly and so informed about the coffees they roast and sell to you. The mission of this company only makes me want to support them more, as they strive to make quality coffee accessible while informing consumers to change the global market in favor of everyone, from start to finish. It doesn't hurt that the cafe is beautiful, too, often sporting delicious pastries from another area business.
If you love coffee, and by that I mean REAL coffee, you'll love it here. From the way they source their beans to their ability to cater and recommend certain blends based on what you like, it shows that this place is fully operated by true coffee enthusiasts. Each cup is a labor of love that tastes unlike any coffee I've ever had, and is a breath of fresh air in a world where everything else seems to have more chemicals in it than a science class at UMD. Perfect for any visit to Duluth.
I have never been to the shop but I buy Duluth Coffee from the grocery store. Hands down the best coffee in my city, better coffee than Starbucks or caribou. I can’t get enough of it! It’s always been really really fresh roasted, that’s one of the reasons I keep buying it. I also love that the coffee beans come from different parts of the world. I will never buy any other coffee. I’m hooked.
Will you tell the public why Shawna had Tony, the guy who makes musical insturments, kicked out of the Cafe.
Best place to get coffee downtown. Great prices and better Americanos.
Duluth Coffee Co has the most wonderful coffee and the best team. We wouldn't be where we are in our business without them. Eric and Sam are wonderful people.
I probably didn't get the right drink, but I was unfortunately not a fan of the coffee here. They don't seem to have any flavor pumps which is disappointing (instead have only 4 different "flavored" lattes). Menu is a little small and more options could be offered. Sort of a bummer I paid so much for a latte, and had to head to Caribou to get something I actually enjoyed. Was initially trying to avoid this to support local and try something new. However, staff was super nice and let me know of some other options. I do hate to not like the coffee, but the atmosphere and everything else was nice. They also nailed the latte art even in a to-go cup!
Always a high quality latte or espresso from DCC. A must-visit when I’m in town visiting fam/friends. The folks that work here are so kind and inviting! Small-ish seating area, but it’s cozy and quaint. Highly recommend!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff who will tell you all about the coffee and farmers growing the beans. Cozy atmosphere and delicious. They have limited pastry options but the ones they had were delicious. They had a horchata latte that was featured when we went and it was pretty good with a rice-forward taste that I appreciated. Would recommend and will be buying those Aredo beans!
This spot appears to be “the” coffee shop in Duluth. Everyone I asked for coffee shop recommendations pointed me here. I was not disappointed. The coffee is good and the staff was engaging. Some coffee shops have a great vibe—e.g., coffee aroma, buzz of conversation, comfortable places to sit and chill. This is one of them. Glad I had opportunity to visit.
Love this place. They don't do dark roast (understandable, really), but they also don't disapprove if you want some milk in your brew after the 12 o'clock hour. In other words, they have their standards but they also aren't snobs. Friendly service, nice atmosphere.
Their coffee is the best for drinking in shop or brewing at home! They also sell some legit brand coffee accessories to help you in your journey of learning how to coffee at home. The employees are knowledgeable and very fun to talk to about coffee roasting and brewing. Customer for life here!
Wow. My wife and I just happened to be driving by this last weekend and were in desperate need of some coffee, and I'm so glad we did. This was absolutely the best cup of coffee I've ever had. It almost makes me mad that I tried it, because now every other coffee place is just disappointing. Superb!
Not really much of anything remarkable here. They could upgrade their approach to serving customers, but I suppose they see it that we should be grateful for ANYTHING, right?
My wife and I travel a lot, and we always look for great coffee wherever we go. Duluth Coffee Company was a great find. We stopped here four times on our recent trip to the area and were completely satisfied each time. I got filter coffee, and my wife got lattes; both were delicious. This place has made it onto my list of favorite coffee shops, not favorite coffee shops for an area, but coffee shops full stop.
The baristas were friendly and the atmosphere was great. Unfortunately the (hot) Cafe Miels we ordered were room temperature and tasted like they had only out milk in. You could hardly taste any trace of espresso. Waste of money and would never visit again. Disappointed.
