Loved our visit to The Lucky Bean Coffee House when we visited Mackinac Island at the end of May. Carolyn, the owner, made me feel welcome the minute I walked in the door, and the atmosphere is charming. I purchased two iced caramel coffee drinks for my husband and me, piled high with whipped cream and caramel drizzle, and she helped me pick out their original "Mackinac and Coffee" t-shirt which I can't wait to wear. Her staff also gave us Pup Cups for our four dogs waiting outside. The Lucky Bean's motto is: "Where the Locals Drink Good Coffee." That sure says it all.

“Where locals drink coffee” this statement peaked my interest and I decided to investigate. WOW! What a great cup of Joe. The staff member Hannah went above and beyond to help serve me. Bed Head is a new favorite of mine. Thanks for the recommendation Hannah! I will definitely be coming back next time I’m on the island.

It’s surprisingly rare to find a coffee shop where they really know how to pull an espresso properly. There are many variables and most coffee shops ruin espresso. Some coffee shops do a tolerable espresso, but very few are masters. Lucky Bean is one of those rare jewels where they have truly mastered the art of coffee in all its forms, not just the easy drinks that are loaded with sugar are milk. They know what they are doing and it’s a real treat to enjoy an espresso there!

Lucky Bean is a go to and the Sugarloaf latte is my favorite (iced). I use to stop here every morning before work when I was a island employee in college. When I was getting ready for my wedding at Mission Point this past May, I had to have my Lucky Bean while getting ready! From my Island Employee days to my Wedding Day, Lucky Bean is always my cup of happiness 😊

Best coffee on the island by a long shot. Just one block up from the Main Street can't be missed right by the police department building.

EASILY the best coffee/tea on the island. The drink selection on its' own is great, but if you want anything customized the staff is so friendly and helpful they'll get you exactly what you want. The Baristas very clearly care about every drip of coffee and tea they brew. They're detailed and meticulous! The staff is also wildly friendly, they very sincerely greet you, it didn't feel like a tourist trap like some other places around here.

The best coffee (and tea) house on Mackinac Island! The service is always great and the people that serve you are always friendly. Sometimes when it's busy you may have to wait for a few minutes for your morning drinks but that is normal for a lot of places that serve food on the island.

This is one of my favorite places to go in order to get a coffee. The coffee is so smooth and delicious and there is no better way to drink that coffee but on Mackinac Island.

I loved this place! Stopped in and got some of their specialty drinks when in town on vacation and they were so yummy! Came back later for a bag of beans, got the Love Potion Number 9 blend, and those beans are some of the best I've ever brewed at home. Highly recommend!

We saw this shop while wandering, and when we realized we had an hour till our ferry, we decided to try “where the locals” get their coffee drinks. With three people, we ordered three different items: hot chocolate, dark roast regular coffee, and a flat white. The hot chocolate was “not too sweet,” just like she wanted. The dark roast was bold without tasting burnt (and the barista replaced the whole drink when his hand slipped on the lid and his finger went in the cup - no one knew but him, so he could have gotten away with just handing it over…). The flat white showed they know how to pull an espresso shot brilliantly. The flavor was rich and nutty without the least bitterness. They were seriously busy at 3:15 in the afternoon, and yet they stayed professional and kept the drinks rolling out. Our order was complete in under five minutes, maybe as few as three, despite the constant flow of customers. Highly recommend this purveyor of hot liquid joy!

Fantastic! They serve Madcap coffee (which is excellent) and their specialty, handcrafted drinks are made to perfection, with some (like the mint latte) made with ingredients local to the island

Adorable shop with by far the best coffee I had in the Mackinaw City, St. Ignace and Mackinac Island areas. Had the Casperito seasonal drink and it was fantastic.

I had a 12 oz cup of coffee that was absolutely delicious, it taste’s a lot better than Starbucks coffee.

The only place we found on the island that can make an authentic Cappuccino, small yet mighty coffee shop. Opens relatively early for island life.
