Truly great coffee made by excellent people. Every place in town I’ve been to and thought “wow this is good coffee,” turns out it was 517’s coffee. The shop is nice to visit, and then you learn they make their own caramel syrup? And they have compostable cups? 11/10 Best Coffee Shop in Lansing
Hands down my favorite coffee shop in the area. Owner is down to earth and easy to talk to, and the coffee is always phenomenal. Don’t hesitate to try this place.

Haven’t had a chance to stop into their actual coffeeshop yet but have been buying their beans for a while now and enjoyed them enough to commit to ordering a 5 lb bag and the owners hand delivered it! Really good local coffee. Highly recommend.
This is the best coffee in the city, my fiance and I come in a fair amount and I can't speak highly enough of 517, everyone here is so friendly and accommodating. My fiance is vegan and they have alot of options for her and everything taste SOOOO GOOD! If you havnt had the chance make it over there!!!!
Went in looking for a strong dark roast. The Ethiopian coffe was recommended. I was hoping to buy a small amount of beans to see if I liked the coffe but it was only sold by the pound. It was neither dark or strong. It certainly has an interesting taste but just not what I was looking for. The baritista was very friendly. Unfortunately, I have a pound of coffee that isn't to my liking. I would definitely go back and try a cup though.
Liked the decaf colombia pourover a lot. Barista (owner?) told me they pay attention to their decaf, which is appreciated

Went with my family and we ordered a double shot of espresso, cafe latte, batch brew, and pourover. Everything tasted great, the owner was friendly and has great customer service. A rare find to have specialty coffee on this side of Lansing and at a great price. Highly recommend and will be my regular spot for coffee when I'm in the area.

I really liked this place, it's a small coffee shop for a quick cup. Not really a lounge around type of place. More of a grab a donut and a coffee to make it to work with 5 minutes to spare.
first off, this place just served me the best scone I’ve ever had. I wanted to post a photo, but it was so good it’s already gone. aside from that, I enjoyed my experience here. the building is pretty unassuming from the outside, so it feels like a little hidden gem! the barista was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, and the service was fast and efficient. definitely will be back!

I had a baklava late and it was very good.
Sooo happy to get such a good coffee near the highway. We also picked up some beans and are enjoying them as well on our weekend vacation. Great place to stop on the way to West Michigan.
