Such a tough rating to give because the coffee itself is absolutely wonderful. The flavor shots are great. But if you’re not mindful it can stack up and make for one whopper of a coffee. I got a large latte with 3 flavor shots and it cost almost $10. Their pastries are really sub par though. Wouldn’t recommend any of them, and theyre kept in some Tupperware containers below the counter. The place is clean though and they’ve finally opened the chairs on the patio outside. If you’re willing to pay a pretty penny you are definitely getting one of the best cups of coffee in town.

I only stop here when I’m running late or didn’t make coffee at home. All the other coffee shops are going the opposite direction of where I work. The coffee just isn’t good and I keep giving this place a try 😩 Today is my last day giving this place a chance - I’m just wasting money. The service is great! I will say that’s the only upside.

Amazing coffee! Some of the best dark roast I have tried. Way better than Starbucks. The breakfast sandwich’s are also solid. Highly recommend this place!

I go here pretty frequently and get the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel with their garlic sauce on it and a coffee. I love it because the sandwich is always hot and tastes delicious and they always have very friendly service!

Always friendly service. Great coffee, large area to pop on your laptop or chat with a friend. I set meetings there often. Bathroom lock still needs replacement, but the place is cleaner than my house! Sure I am going back. I LOVE their scones.

Five Lakes continues to impress. New staff fits in very well with existing staff, enhancing the friendliness and small-town feel of the shop. Everyone's smiles are genuine and much of the staff are on first name basis with me. I get coffee from no other shop, period.

This place is really annoying and causing problems in the neighborhood behind it. The township made an initial requirement to have a wall up when this location was a McDonalds and a KFC as a sight and sound barrier for local residents as this kind of drive thru business is really invasive. Five Lakes decides WITHOUT TALKING TO RESIDENTS to cut a path in this barrier and place a gate for "foot traffic" while they do nothing to maintain the area behind it (the neighborhood does this with volunteers and we have been for years. The property is owned by the road commission and they don't maintain this area) we were initially told that the gate would be locked when five lakes is closed. It never is. In fact never once even at 2am has this gate been locked. Instead teens and others use it as a way to trounce through the neighborhood and litter (that I have to pick up because they haven't even put a trash can out and, again, neighborhood volunteers maintain this area). This gate was also used as a way for a few teens to escape the police when they shot up the marathon next door and, as a way for them to hop through the neighborhood as they are smoking underage and causing more problems. Thanks five lakes for turning my front yard into a playground for hoodlems.

I have loved 5 Lakes every since we discovered it over a year ago! Clean (even the bathroom), modern feel, friendly staff, the coffee is tasty (dark roast), the one choice of breakfast sandwich with parm-garlic sauce is SO tasty. We have told many friends about it, as well as have brought family when in town to visit. HOWEVER, we just found out they have donated 20% of earnings to a local anti-abortion agency, so now all of us are having to make decisions about NOT returning. Such a bummer! It's unclear to me whether this was a one-time weekend donation or whether this is the policy for the year. Please clarify. Thanks.
