Great coffee shop in a great location! I love getting a drink and a treat and sitting at the bar by the window facing Grand River Ave.
Used to frequent this shop, but the last couple times I ordered my usual, iced latte with extra espresso shot, the employee just used a pitcher of cold coffee, rather than making fresh espresso shots for my drink. I brought this up the second time (as it tasted wrong and not good) and they told me I specifically have to ask for the fresh espresso. I went in yesterday to try again after months and the person in front of me ordered my same drink. The same barista got out that pitcher of cold coffee for her latte. I left.
Lovely spot! Had a marvelous iced chai and something I've never had before, a peanut butter and jelly donut. Was super good and the environment was so welcoming. Will definitely be coming back.

The new bubble lids are trash and I’m leaving this review for that reason. I love this coffee house but the new bubble lids DO NOT stay on. First time I got a drink with the new bubble lids the wind blew the lid off and coffee dumped all over me and the second time I got a drink with the bubble lid it literally popped off while I was driving and dumped all over my center console in the car. I will not be getting another frozen drink until the lids change and I only go for frozen drinks. I’m tired of losing half my dream to being dumped either on me or on my stuff. Otherwise, this is my favorite coffee house in existence.
Greeted by pleasant staff,ordered chai tea latte hot and tasty.Ordered apricot scone not too fresh, hard and tasteless...
You heat up your own food in a dirty microwave, then they ask you for a tip.
Got a white mocha latte and an almond croissant. The latte was delicious! The croissant was flaky and very flavorful (more than I expected from a croissant). Little messy, but so soo good.
One of my favorite places to network, hold one on one meetings and sometimes to sit and reflect alone. Atmosphere is warm and welcoming...staff is attentive, courteous and well trained.

Poor customer service! The manager needs to tell her staff what the specials are a head of time. I was in on Friday and was told I could buy a $30 gift card for $25 and also get a free beverage on Saturday. I made a special trip to get the gift card and was told that the free beverage with the $25 gift card purchase didn’t include the beverage. The manage was rude and said that I couldn’t get the free beverage. It was not a deal buying a $30 gift card for $25 when you can always buy a $30 gift card and get a free beverage of your choice!
The coffee is good but they never seem to be open. Google tells lies and says they're open only to have you left wanting and hopeless as you tug on the locked door to the building in a caffeine deprived feral rage
The owner was downright despicable I cant believe the way she was addressing her staff yelling and screaming at them for small mistakes or being slow to serve up orders, absolutely diabolical of her to think that just because she owns the place she can treat everyone under her with such disdain. The blatant disrespect and belittlement of her own employees should be considered a crime against humanity. Staff was wonderful besides that old battle axe.
They have good coffee and the staff are all very nice, but the owner is a real piece of work. I genuinely don't know how anyone can work there with how she talks to them.

This coffee house is the most disgusting establishment I’ve ever stepped into. The owner is rude, entitled, and disrespectful to customers and staff. The food they serve is NOT safe to consume! The case you see is just for show and is not refrigerated. You can touch the glass and feel for your self. If you value your money, respect people, and not want food poisoning, do NOT shop here. 0/10. Utterly Disgusting.
Stopped here while passing through town. We had the New Orleans cold brew. Amazing coffee! Will be back next time we're in the area.
I absolutely love uptown coffee. One of the best coffees around! They are always evolving and have been a great contributor to our community!
