I am from Holland Michigan, yet, I will drive to GR just to be in this warm cocoon of a coffee shop. The dark aquamarine walls are inviting and the mismatched furniture is super fun! The leather couch in the back corner is my favorite place to hangout and work! It’s atmosphere is inviting and the people are friendly! What more could a gal ask for?
Roots Brew is one of those eclectic shops where the chairs are mismatched and decor comfortable. There's nothing pretentious about it. Coffee and local-made baked goods are excellent - be sure to hit up their waffle Saturdays when they have them! Lines can be long, so have patience on a Saturday morning or weekday business break. But it is worth it!

This is a great spot to meet up with friends. The atmosphere is really relaxing. The iced green tea was really good.
Coffee and teas are always great! The food on their regular menu is good, and they often have waffles on Saturday mornings!
Without fail, Roots is my favorite coffee shop in GR. Their vibe is super welcoming and the decor is gorgeous. The Rosemary and Sea Salt bagel with the scrambled egg bacon and cheddar cream cheese is incredible. I love that their lattes aren't cloyingly sweet like some of the big chains; they're the perfect balance so you can still taste the coffee and not just sugar. The owner is an absolute gem of a human too.

Looks very popular it was continually full. I was there like an hour. But they gCe me and my friend things wrong. Both times to him. But they were very willing to change it with no problem
Love Roots, the baristas know what they're doing and extremely friendly. The only thing I would suggest is putting a roasted date on the bulk coffee bags!
Wonderful staff, nice coffee taste, enjoy the atmosphere. Parking is usually an issue, but worth walking a few extra steps to come in and relax.

By far the worst customer service I have received. I ordered a pour over coffee that took over 30 minutes to be made. When I asked why it took so long she said “because they take more time and focus to do, so we were serving the other customers” as if I wasnt a paying customer myself. I won’t be returning.
It’s 2012 in here. Good coffee. Good workspace comfortable seating. Music was very dated.

This place was packed when I got there. We ordered an americano and a blueberry muffin, both were delicious and the service was outstanding.
The absolute best coffee shop I've ever been to in my life! The vibe is so chill the music is perfect. It didn't leave any stars for their food because I didn't eat any but I'm sure it's good as well.
