This cozy establishment offers an exceptional beverage menu that will leave your taste buds tingling with delight. From the moment you step inside, you're enveloped in an inviting atmosphere that encourages relaxation and good times. Let's start with the star of the show--their tantalizing beverage menu. Lotus Brew Coffee and Dry Bar truly excels in crafting a wide array of beverages that cater to every palate. The mocha, which I've personally tried, is an absolute delight. Its rich, velvety chocolate flavor blends harmoniously with the perfectly balanced espresso, creating a heavenly indulgence that's hard to resist. Whether you prefer your coffee bold and strong or opt for something on the sweeter side, their menu is sure to have something to satisfy your cravings. One unique aspect of Lotus Brew Coffee and Dry Bar is their inclusion of mocktails alongside their coffee offerings. This thoughtful addition is perfect for those seeking a non-alcoholic alternative or simply looking to try something different. The mocktails are expertly crafted with a variety of flavors and ingredients, providing a refreshing and exciting twist for those who want to explore beyond traditional coffee-based beverages. If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Not only is the coffee amazing, the vibe is unmatched. It's so important to intentional with how you spend your money and spending local is so important to me. But to have a place that aligns with your core values is so unique. Ten times over best coffee shop in West Michigan

A sunny spot next to the zoo with delicious coffees and mocktails, a free lending library, and food pantry. They do a lot of good in the city and are a safe space for the queer community.

This place is more than just a coffee shop, it’s one of the only places I feel like I can truly be myself publicly in Grand Rapids and feel welcomed. There are so many community resources, the owner makes a point to centralize support and making a safe community space as well as the best and most affordable cup of coffee you can get in the city. I felt really uplifted frequenting here during hard times in my life, and attended many of the social events they host. Before finding their events, I couldn’t find any queer community spaces in the area. Excellent coffee, cozy/peaceful environment, free library, a service industry discount on top of affordable prices, community events… plus they pay baristas $20/hour and put their money where their mouth is as far as valuing their employees, which can’t be said for many businesses in the city. I can easily say this is the best establishment in Grand Rapids and I’m constantly recommending it to folks in West Michigan.

Wonderful, local queer coffee shop. The owner cares deeply about their workers and their customers. Weekly events/groups such as a drawing social and fiber arts group. Free lending library, free pantry, and a kindness cup for anyone struggling. I always feel welcome. This coffee spot feels like a community and it's my favorite place in Grand Rapids. Follow them on Instagram @lotusbrewcoffeedrybar for their secret menu items and updates on events. Love the energy of this place.

Absolutely amazing local business. Lotus is a prime example of why local businesses are so important - they are so much more than a coffee shop and a shining example of caring for your community. Their coffee is excellent (best cold brew I have ever had), but their commitment to their neighbors is even better. They offer a no questions asked pantry for anyone who could use support, a small library collection, and serve as a genuinely safe in the community. It is incredibly refreshing to see a business doing the right thing, caring for their neighbors, not for optics or for press coverage, but because they genuinely want to. I couldn’t recommend them enough.

Loved stopping by here on the way into work. 10/10 cappuccino - and excited to try all of the other options! You could feel the sense of community right when you walked through the door - can’t wait to come back soon!!!

I’m a pretty harsh critic of coffee shops and products, which is why I don’t have many of those reviews on my page. Generally speaking, I’ve narrowed my criteria to vibe, then product, recognizing supply chain, cost and other variables in my personal assessments. What I admire about Lotus Brew is that a lot of thought seems to have gone in to the business structure. Whether it’s food and drink offerings and brands, events, hours, or staff - care and thought has been put into it. All that to say, there are a wide variety of drinks and everything I have tried has hit the mark. The cold brews are very good even without milk or syrup, and I think my favorite seasonal drink so far has been the lavender lemon matcha latte, iced. Food options are in line with a cafe - very good bagels with real butter, quality pastries and options for those with special requirements like low sugar, and dairy-free. I should note they carry almond milk. They also have a menu of mocktails. The vibe is cozy and option-filled as there is a well stocked library, a community board full of diverse locals to support, a good amount of seating. The events are likewise diverse and thoughtfully community-focused. I frequent Lotus Brew, and savor its offerings.

My only gripe with Lotus is that it's not big enough to hold all my friends. Great tea selection, decent coffee, vegan baked goods, and Max, the owner, is one of the kindest souls I've ever met. This is probably the best place to meet queer people in GR.

The instant I walked through the front door I felt so incredibly welcome and comfortable. The vibes: immaculate. So much to interact with, whether it be the shelves of books or board games anyone can borrow, or the plethora of community posts next to the small food bank table. Coziest and the most delicious hot or cold drinks and the friendliest people behind the counter. It feels like more than just a place to get grab a cup <3
