Always love stopping in here. Doesn’t matter which location, Detroit to Grand Rapids. Their coffee is superb and the people are fantastic! Some of the absolute best coffee in the Midwest. Responsibly sourced, ethically maintained- they’ve been working with their coffee farms and farmers for years to make sure this supply chain is upheld. Worth the effort. Worth the money to support it. Definitely a treat.
Honestly used to love this place but it’s gone downhill and for the price there is better coffee in town these days.
I would give this place 3.5/5. The Cappuccino was very good, with dark chocolate and cherry notes coming through. The steam and pour were well done. The service was very professional and friendly. They were also working very efficiently for the crowd. I just overall with the atmosphere was a little underwhelmed. Space seemed kind of hoity. Just designer white tile walls, wood furniture with industrial structure, and that is really it. The mural outside is nice, but it doesn't really have any additional character.
The effect cortado. You have options of which espresso you want your drink made with. I tried the eureka and it was excellent! Great location walking distance from Fulton market. Some very friendly looking staff, one mean mugging looking staff. Puts the Mad in madcap 😅 No pastries - but a block down you can get some pastries
I love studying here and having the strongest jet fuel coffee. So many great coffee flavors to choose from!
The Baristas were so sweet and kind and cared about the drinks the made! The cappuccino was sooooo good!
Top notch espresso served with tonic and a great selection of snacks as well!
Coffe was great! There is very limited seating, so not the best place to meet someone for coffee, but perfect for take out!
If you’re in GR, this is a MUST try coffee shop. The vibes are immaculate, and lattes are even better. I got the vanilla latte with oat-milk (basic, I know) - but it was so tasty and did the trick to bring me back to life. $6 for it, which isn’t bad compared to other shops (and Starbucks). Great place to work, If you can find a table!
Awesome little coffee shop in Grand Rapids. Great drinks and cozy atmosphere.
One of the best coffees I’ve had, and this after years of travel. I kind of wish I lived in Grand Rapids just so I could drink here every day.
Some of the best coffee you'll ever taste. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Bonus: if you're at the Fulton Ave location, the roaster is right next door.
I love hanging out at Madcap to read a book or chat with friends! I'm a major coffee lover, so sometimes I get a little sad that they only have one size coffee.
The coffee was delicious, the atmosphere was great and they played reggaeton the entire time I was there, loved it! Wish I had discovered this place sooner!
Madcap of the gold standard for good coffee in the Grand Rapids area. Always great coffee, always great service. Cafe Miel is the best in town.
Ridiculously loud music. Trying to get work done and the staff started blasting music.
The coffee is here is exceptional - extremely high quality. And I always have the best customer service. There is one young man that is so sweet and so informing. I love the taste of there coffee and specialty drinks, all year round! Great atmosphere as well, great for studying or as a place to meet.
I love coming here. The drinks are always top tier and the baristas are nice and accommodating. Seriously feels like I’m with family, in the best way. Cienna and Stefania are the OG bests and it’s been really nice to meet/be helped by Miguel, Jenae, and Shaela. Madcap is seriously doing something right in their hiring department because I haven’t met many crews that are as cool and kind. Cappuccinos and Cortados are my favorites but the seasonal stuff is always a treat :)
Best customer service orriented team, lovely coffee, clean shoppe and wonderful atmosphere.
I'm personally much more into tea than coffee and Madcap tends to have a pretty decent selection of loose teas as well as probably the best chai latte in the city. I can't personally speak to their coffee but my friends enjoy it quite a bit.
