I wish we could have caught them open, but we ran to a few gentlemen prepping for the season, and they indeed pointed us in the right direction. It was a great experience going to the northernmost point of our Michigan Air Force territory. Thank You Again!!!

Checked the website before departure and noted that they were open until 3pm. Made the drive and arrived shortly after 12p only to find out that they were closed. Seems to be common in the Upper PI. It’s the week before Memorial Day, but clearly businesses aren’t ready for any tourism. With no cellular service to call and confirm whether a business is open, please at least take the time to adjust your hours. Our pre-trip research led us here and pretty bummed we couldn’t enjoy it.

Jamsen's is my favorite stop when we stay in Copper Harbor. The CBC (Cheddar, Bacon, Chive) scone is amazing. Never question buying one if you get the chance. When we were in town, they had a Cinnamon Roll scone available- never question buying that one, either! Personally, I would recommend buying 1 extra so you have a backup scone to enjoy if they happen to be out the next day. We sampled other baked goods from Jamsen's during the trip: the doughnuts, Raspberry Pie bar, and cookies were all phenomenal. Great snacks for long mountain bike rides! Eating a cookie after arriving at The Point was wonderful. Good rock hunting fuel. It was honestly my favorite part of the morning- taking a walk from our cabin at Bella Vista to the bakery. You can't beat the view, either!

This is a great place to pick up delicious Pannukakku (Finnish pancake) or a biscuit cheese, egg, and sausage breakfast sandwich. They have muffins and coffee too. You can sit right by the water and enjoy your breakfast along with a scenic view.

I had an excellent cup of coffee, and totally yummy cake donut with THIMBLEBERRY FROSTING! Also, probably one of the best spots for sunrise in Copper Harbor. Thank you for a wonderful morning!

I didn't take pics of the food cuz I shoved it all in my face too quickly. And, AND we went back for more. Sweet treats - delish. Savory scones - amazeballs. *chef's kiss* Oh, and those Adirondack chairs on the side, THE TABLE is the UP!

Extreme disappointment! We passed up Peterson's Fish Market in Hancock because we were heading up to Copper Falls and had seen this while looking for things to see and do. We arrived and saw that the bakery end was closed, but assumed that the shop on the other side of the building would be fish market. WRONG! While this gift shop was filled with lovely jewelry and touristy trinkets (Including t-shirts with "Jamsen's Fish Market" and picture of a fish), there was no fish market. After looking around the empty shop for several minutes, someone did appear in the shop. When asked about fish market we were told that the fish market portion had been closed since COVID. We were very dismayed and aggravated, honestly, that this has not been updated on their website or anywhere else we can find. The person told us of this long history of the fish market and that they had found the "take out to be more efficient". While I completely appreciate the need to adapt and change in order to remain in busines, it seems more effort should be made to keep your business name and website accurate.

Fast service. Inexpensive pasties, pricey breakfast sandwich. The decaf coffee was fine. The thimbleberry icing on the donut tasted mostly of vanilla. Great morning views by the water.

Went to grab a thimbleberry glazed donut this morning. The raised donuts sold out while we were in line. I usually don't like cake donuts but wanted to try the thimbleberry frosting so i got ordered a cake donut. That was a delicious cake donut. The Finnish pancake was also delicious. Enjoyed watching a freighter off in the distance and the ship for Isle Royale leaving.

Best breakfast on copper harbor. It’s the only breakfast on copper harbor so you have no choice but to leave four stars. It was actually very good.

We went there for coffee and were not disappointed. Had a med roast with caramel and oatmilk. If you are craving specialty coffee and service with a smile, then this is the place. Also, have yummy baked goids.

This is no longer a fish market, it’s just a coffee shop and bakery now. That being said, Jamsen’s has great baked goods (the thimbleberry donuts are awesome). If you’re looking for smoked fish in the Keweenaw, Peterson’s is I believe the only shop on the peninsula.

If you are looking for a romantic morning by the lake in copper harbour be sure to include Jansen’s breakfast to it to make It extra special. We enjoyed their finished pancakes , doughnut cakes and Carmel coffee.Their extremely friendly service was like cherry on the top.
