Love this vibe! The plants. The flowers. The nice smells. The fresh plants smell indoors & the riverside patio smell outside. Great visit with my cousins. My chai latte was a bit too sweet for my taste yet I’ll definitely come back for the fresh juices, others drinks and food menu, when the kitchen opens again end of May.
Wonderful vibe besides the good fresh food, coffee or healthy shakes & juices. Very relaxing sounds of a little water fall and beautiful birds singing and chirping.
Very unique place but parking is limited. Small place with a small cozy feel.
If I could give atmosphere 6 stars I would
Absolutely the best place for breakfast in the Benton Harbor St Joe area.
Adorable place, I absolutely love the decor! Lovely staff. Never knew about this place until recently but I definitely will return. The smoothies & avocado toast are phenomenal. You get what you pay for! 10/10.
Super cute and quaint eccentric cafe! Real birds tweeting away along with a water fountain, plants, all setting the tone! Food was spot on! Can't wait to visit again when nicer weather is here so we can sit on the patio, they also said they add tons more things to the decor then! Breakfast tacos were packed full of stuff and super filling! Will definitely be returning!
My favorite coffee place. Absolutely beautiful setting. The owners go above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful experience. The food and coffee is great and best smoothies I have had!
It was such a delight! Our first visit and the place is beautiful. The owners gave us such a warm welcome and took care of us. We loved our muffins, absolutely great!! Thank you!!
Truly a hidden gem ! The coffee and croissants were so good but let’s talk about the atmosphere and the staff … they were both so warm and inviting ! Stepping into this place awakens all your senses it’s so visually pleasing! everywhere you look there’s beautiful flowers or plants and artwork you immediately feel at ease and relaxed ! Can’t wait to go back again 😊
This place is absolutely darling. The service/staff/owners are a great group of people. We always feel welcome here. Bring a book, your work or your family and friends. It is a perfect place to unwind and enjoy beautiful scenery between the river and all the wild fowl and all the plants/flowers around you. If you are in the area you should stop in! Did I mention how good the coffee and food are? Yummy!! :)
Beautiful and quiet coffee house on the canal of Benton Harbor. Delicious 🤤 food. If I'm ever here again I'll be coming back! Breakfast tacos 🌮 were amazing. Coffee's on point!
Ken’s Killer Omelette #2 was delicious. Relaxing interior with tons of gorgeous plants. Friendly staff. Adorable pet rocks for kids of all ages.
Amazing food. Beautiful atmosphere.
This place is the best coffee shop/restaurant I have ever found! Beautiful beautiful interior design & incredible outdoor vibe with all the plants on the river. I wish I could come here every day. Good food, really nice staff, incredible atmosphere. I just wish it was open all winter.
Had a smoothie and the breakfast tacos, both really good! Loved the atmosphere and greenery outside next to the canal. Parking lot is really small but there are spots on the corner up the street.
Been here 3 times and it's always a joy. The plants and decor really breathe life into your morning coffee. Staff is always very friendly. Saw a Hummingbird on their flowers out back the last time I was there.
Tostada made me sick after I ate it. Staff wasn’t the friendliest. We were told food, drinks, etc would take 40 min before the cook would even see the orders. We asked if we could order a muffin sitting on the counter along with our sandwich and tostada. We were told getting a muffin or a coffee would also take 40 minutes which was bizarre. It didn’t seem like they wanted customers or maybe they were stressed out with lack of staff? Building, atmosphere and views are great.
This place is absolutely beautiful inside - magical, even. It's like a visit to The Secret Garden. On the minus, it's a bit difficult to get around because it's so stuffed full of plants. We sat near an open window and had a lovely time watching a little group of sparrows hopping around and playing. We got our food and lattes surprisingly quickly given how busy they were when we visited. So why only 3 stars? You are paying for the ambiance more than the quality or quantity of food. It's not that anything we ordered was bad, but it was only OK - and very pricey for what you got. Shown in my photos are two 16oz lattes ($5.75 + .75c for oatmilk + .75c for flavor); Brisket Tostada ($14.50); Barbacoa Tacos ($14.50); & Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit aka Canal Classic ($8.75) (biscuits only available on weekends). Everything was good, but like I said, the food itself was not good enough to justify the prices. If you are an out-of-towner (or even an in-towner who's never been), I absolutely recommend visiting, the ambiance is magical and you will remember your visit. If you're looking more for different / good food or coffee from local non-chain places, there are other places I'd go first (e.g. Mason Jar, Broadstreet Cafe, Tosi's Cafe, Dino's, Sophia's, Hub Central 185, Six Chicks Scratch Kitchen). Oh, and another tip.... don't even try the parking lot. It's very claustrophobic, with only about 3 spots and not a lot of room to turn around. Finding a parking spot down the road and walk.
Whimsical and beautiful! Parking is very limited so try to walk there, seating outdoors and indoors all filled with lovely flowers and plants by the water. Quick service and delicious food!
