Lunch on a Friday at lunch time. One person working the whole place by himself. Hosting, waiting tables, serving, cooking and bussing. He did very well considering but you might want to get some dedicated wait staff so folks don’t wait 45 minutes to get their food. Just sayin. Speaking of food, not all that impressed. I ordered the Ethel Waffle. I’ve never had a waffle with fresh grapes and apple slices. The menu just said seasonal fruit with ice cream. Sounded good to me was thinking compote but no, just sliced fresh fruit. Not even syrup or anything to sweeten it up. At any rate, we tried it and likely will not be back.

i came here with my siblings for lunch and the service wasn’t very good at all, the server was acting like she didn’t want to do her job and was being moody. It also took them an hour to bring out the food just for it to be rock hard and cold. I do not recommend this place.

Ordered an iced honey lavender latte and was given a drink that visibly had 2 inches of syrup on the bottom. Thought that maybe it just hadn't been mixed yet so I stirred it and discovered the drink was CHUNKY. (And no, it wasn't boba) Not sure if the syrups were old or if it was the milk.. either way it was a little disturbing. Luckily my husband's drink wasn't chunky so we could at least share that.

The atmosphere was fun and the owner was very friendly. We didn’t arrive timely and he ended up remaking our meals which was appreciated. The masks was very reasonable

Love this place, great food and coffee. Only downside is the paper straws! They tend to get soggy before I finish my drink😔

Came for an "Inaugural Traditional Celtic Session" but truly enjoyed the breakfast sandwich I ordered. Excellent coffee too! My daughter loves her avocado toast! Enjoyed sitting in on the session... Will definitely be back in the future. ☕🎻🎼🎶

Ordered a Vietnamese Boba, non-dairy. The Barista was very informative (I don’t remember their name :( but was very helpful in helping make my drink dairy free and not so sweet. I highly recommend this drink, very good! Excellent customer service. Was greeted walking in by waitstaff and possibly owner? Very welcoming! I love your new location, has a lot of room. Will definitely be returning, hopefully will be able to catch one of the shows soon that they host here. Thank you!

First off, the Vietnamese Boba is outstanding. I wasn’t expecting the coffee jellies to be cubes but I’m not complaining. Others have left bad reviews talking about price but you get what you pay for. I don’t mind that I spent $18 on two Vietnamese Bobas (not to mention that one was nondairy), because of how well made they were. Even the ice is fancy! If you expect a fancy boba drink for $2 then you should manage your expectations. Drinks aside, I want to highlight how impactful it is to have a space that is so clearly queer-centered in town. Growing up in this area I WISH I would have seen this type of establishment, it probably would have saved me years’ worth of internalized homophobia. I am also grateful that they host Drag Nights in a place that is (to my knowledge) alcohol-free. And any locals who aren’t down with the fact that these performances happen are free to go elsewhere because Highland Blush is a queer space that this part of Michigan desperately needs, whether they want to admit it or not. It also helps that the drinks are spectacular. I’ve not lived in this area for a long time but from now on when I visit I will be making a stop here before I leave.

Excellent service, good food, lovely atmosphere. We showed up unannounced with a group of 7 for breakfast, and Damien was the only employee working. He kindly let us know that he was on his own, and proceeded to serve us as best as he could, which we were all more than pleased with. In summary, maybe give this place a heads up phone call if you plan to bring a group, but expect nothing less than a great experience regardless.

Awesome food and service and the best paper towel dispenser ever. Oddly though both faucets are hot water. They’re moving soon so it will be someone else’s tribulation!

Reasonably priced, delicious food, Damien was so engaging and a wonderful host, the restoration was beautiful. Damien is an artist and happy fourth anniversary Damien. 🕺🎉 It impressed us Texans and Georgians.

Very overpriced for what you get. Cappuccino was not good, and country music played loudly inside. I came to get some work done before a meeting nearby but won’t be coming back.

My class visited this place to speak Spoken Word Poetry. The staff was kind and professional. Their prices were a little high for my liking, but everything looked delicious.

Cool vibe and inclusive atmosphere. Coffee is great but if you’re looking for something fast definitely not the place which is my only real critique but it’s not a huge deal.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered with delivery. Food was fresh, warm and looked just as good as it smelled. The Giant muffin was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful breakfast. We ended up with a free sandwich also.
