We've been wanting to try Spells for a while now and finally stopped by recently. I was going to wait outside since we had our dog with us, but they informed my husband that the shop is dog friendly and welcomed him in. The baristas were super friendly and the lavender honey latte was amazing. Can't wait to come back!
Spells is a must go. Anika is an absolute sweetheart. She is exceptionally warm and has made the shop very cozy. The employees are friendly and helpful. I ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and strawberries. The bagel was delicious and the strawberries were fresh and sweet. Anyone who loves coffee has to go to Spells. There are very unique lattes curated here. Besides the food, there is a nice selections of souveniers. All in all this lovely shop is amazing and I will be returning.
Charming little coffee house. Coffee was great! The barista was welcoming and helpful in ordering drinks. We decided to get a couple of local drinks, I believe it was the hex, and the maple brown sugar toffee- Iced. Both were very good. Large portion sizes! They had some seating inside, and the space was well decorated. Enjoyed our drinks very much!
Coffee was ok, food was ok, but wait for just a sandwich was extremely long. Plus they were out of a lot of items on the menu.

Mediocre coffee and sandwiches at best, disappointed in the taste for the price of sandwiches and coffee here. Only one person working since its off season, but really should be at least two as it takes a while for a few orders.
They just keep getting better, my goto for coffee and breakfast. Now the croissants are genuinely great. Coffee has always been good too. Sometimes they have a wonderful Portuguese treat, called a Pashto Dálmata, egg based and wonderful.

Great local coffee shop. Spells has amazing coffee specials and take the time to craft each individual drink. I've had my eye on the Oatmeal Cookie coffee and finally stopped in to try it. The coffee was amazing and well balanced - not too sweet. The egg & cheese sandwich is also a great option.

Their coffee was other worldly good. I highly recommend their honey lavender latte. Literally any of their specialty drinks are soo good. This is a must stop for good coffee.
Great local coffee place with some bomb flavor combos! Get a large iced lavender latte and have a snazzy day! Edit: ( they have some ✨BOMB✨ breakfast sandwiches now!)
My partner and I are enchanted by Spells. A latte from Spells always brightens my day. As Salem locals the downtown area can get quite busy so having a local coffee shop outside downtown is a BIG win. The staff is super friendly, they sell art made by local artists, and they just started selling food. Don't miss this gem!
Spells is an absolute GEM! The ambiance is adorable, the service was amazing - Anika and Astrid were extremely sweet and such a delight to talk to, they helped answer all of our questions (both menu and Salem related) and we loved learning more about their journey with spells. The menu is extremely well priced and the coffee was a game changer. I ordered a Hex coffee based on Astrid’s rec and is a must must try, and also ordered the avocado toast and English muffin egg sandwich with the sweet chili sauce also based on Astrid’s rec - and was not disappointed ! Would definitely visit again and sad they do not have a location here but wishing them all the best in Salem!
