First timers and not from area! A friend and I went. She's from NYC and a vegan but I am not. I live in Boston and babysit in upper Cape. We both loved everything about the place. Lots of delicious choices. My friend was very impressed as she finds vegan choices often not that tasty or well made when she goes to vegan places or orders vegan options. Staff super friendly, accomodaying and helpful. Even the customers were nice! Outdoor seating. Choices of various types of sitting areas. Clean and orderly. My friend had a little dog who was welcomed. Definitely highly recommend and hope to return again in the future!

Amazing food. Very cool vibe. It was the only thing that made two major surgeries tolerable because I ate there before EVERY appointment before going to CCH.

The food and drinks are delicious, although a bit on the expensive side. However, they do a lot to give back to the community by helping to feed the less privileged individuals in the area. The people there are wicked nice and friendly. They specialize in all vegan fare, but you don't have to be vegan to appreciate it. Besides the price of food, my only other gripe is more of a personal one with their political beliefs being a bit in-your-face, but that doesn't keep me from going back. I can appreciate and respect their passion for their beliefs even if they don't perfectly match with my own. Like I said, I'll keep going back for lunch dates with my wife because it's a great place for some food, a delicious coffee and the occasional live music session.

I’ve been wanting to check out Bread + Roses for ages and I finally got the chance yesterday. I only had a drip coffee, but it was delicious and fresh! I hung out for a bit with my coffee and a book, just enjoying the welcoming and warm atmosphere. The barista was so lovely and sweet with the customers - it felt like a community. I love supporting a cafe with such fantastic values, so this will definitely be my go to place for grabbing a coffee in Hyannis!

TL/DR: Do anything you can to visit Bread + Roses. If I could give this business 100000 stars I would. My partner and I stumbled upon B+R on our way through town. Having lived on Cape before this was the last thing I would have expected to find here, and it surprised me in the best ways. Upon entering I immediately felt at home—the environment is friendly and cozy. There are plenty of comfortable places to sit, read, eat, create, mingle, etc. There’s even a comfy nook in the back with a piano and guitar for creating and enjoying music. The long wooden table in the center of the shop feels like it has the potential to hold many a profound discussions about society, philosophy, arts, humanities, people, love, community and everything in between. It feels like a perfect communal meeting place for a happy, healthy community. Very rarely have I felt so welcome upon entering a space — intention oozes out of every nook and cranny of the space. There are also many bistro-style tables and chairs in the cafe area if you’re looking for a more “leave me alone so I can get sh*t done” kind of vibe. It’s a very dynamic space and can suit any mood or preference. The bookstore/retail space is so beautifully and intentionally curated it physically took my breath away. As a life-long lover of books and reading and art I’ve stumbled into a lot of amazing local bookstores in my years and B+R is far and ahead the most unique one I’ve ever seen. Sadly, it knocks my favorite local bookstore at home (Burning Books in Buffalo, NY — in case anyone wants to look for a similar vibe and support another small radical bookstore like B+N. Sorry for the shameless plug lol I just love my hometown bookstore) out of the running for my Favorite Bookstore Ever. If you’re a person who loves people and learning and social justice and arts and community and diversity of thought then Bread + Roses is for you. It took everything in me to not walk away with one of everything. The last thing I think worth n

By far the best cafe on the Cape! Super cozy & welcoming with a wide selection of books and the most delicious food that you’d never know was plant-based. I look forward to spending time here on my days off. I can tell B&R is more than just a small business, they deeply care about their neighbors & fostering community at a time we need it most! And it’s so validating to see such representation & advocacy with the flags displayed in their windows! ;) Do yourself & your community a favor: patronize Bread & Roses!!

This is a cozy cafe/bookstore with great food. I really enjoyed the lemon bar I had last time I was there, and their breakfast burritos are excellent.

My wife and I stopped in here last October while we were vacationing at Cape Cod. The atmosphere was lovely, with shelves of interesting books and games. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly. Excellent vegan food in a charming book store and coffee shop. We will definitely be stopping in again when we are next around.

We stopped here while on a much-needed vacation, and I was absurdly happy to find an excellent vegan cafe that also felt like a safe and accepting space. I think about this place often, and can't wait to visit again. Thanks for the delicious food and lovely atmosphere!!
