One of my favorite breakfast spots in the city. Staff is always lovely and the coffee is always strong 🖤
Had the corn cakes with bacon bits and creamy egg - nice dish but on the heavy side! Service was excellent and we enjoyed our food.
I went in to try and get a table outside with my brother and his girlfriend. I asked the waitress and then she took me inside to ask her manager, the bar man was so so rude to me alongside this other man with a bowler hat. I felt very unnecessarily attacked by two males who could of easily communicated with me the lack of availability in a softer away. I then took a chair and sat next to my brother for 5 mins and the man with the bowler hat came out and very aggressively told me not to sit there. It’s seems an unhappy place and this has made the staff have bad manners. When I ate here before this incident the eggs were poorly cooked and the sour dough was just white bread!
I ordered crabcakes eggs Benedict but I asked for over medium instead of poached because I hate poached eggs. They made it with poached anyways and the whites were soooo runny I almost puked. I pushed the eggs aside and asked the waiter for more hollandaise sauce to make up for it. Did he apologize for screwing up the order, no he charged me for extra sauce?!? Plus, I had a raspberry Italian soda and it was warm? Is that weird or just me? Although, the best part of this place is that before I left they had pastries 😁. I got some chocolate banana bread and OMGOSH! SOOOOO GOOD 👍!
Welcoming atmosphere, a variety of mouthwatering lunch and breakfast dishes inside a charming art covered building. We’ve done all our breakfast here, no need to search further, it gets no better. Also cheap mimosas and bloodies
Good food and excellent service
To be clear, it wasn't the waiter it was the slow kitchen. They were very slow on getting the food out. Otherwise, this would be a 5-star review.
Best food, service and ambience in the area. Whether dining in, enjoying sidewalk service or ordering food for delivery, it’s a uniformly great experience.
Very pleasant Sunday brunch. The saxophone serenade by a consumate musician in a loin cloth and heels was the absolute icing on the cake.
It's a cute café. The food was good (corn cakes and biscuits &gravy). It took forever to get our coffee drinks -- we asked about them several times, and they finally came near the end of the meal. There was lots of staff around, the café wasn't overly busy, but overall, our service was pretty bad.
Very quaint - happy I chose this as our breakfast destination- clean - well prepared food - don’t be in a hurry you will love it !
Don’t stop here unless you like being treated rudely by owner and staff. Walked over here with my wife to enjoy a drink or two on the patio and with three tables empty outside and three tables empty inside they refused service citing that tables are only for customers who order meals. I have no problem with restaurants making poor policies as that’s really none of my business. I do have a problem with the extremely rude way in which it was communicated to me and my wife by one very rude waitress and the roly-poly, rude owner shouting from behind the counter. We walked over to Marie’s bar at the next block and we’re treated like royalty. After enjoying a couple great bloody Mary’s at Marie’s Bar we walked back past Who Dat Coffee café and what do you know? As karma would have it…. ALL the tables were empty!
Totally recommend! We had an excellent experience here - our favorite breakfast while visiting New Orleans by a mile. Fun, delicious, and relaxing. We were so tired of all of the tourist places with bad service, worse food, and exorbitant prices and came here on the recommendation of a local. The staff was absolutely delightful, all of our items were delicious (those corn cakes are really, really bangin' good though), and the atmosphere is fun. Nothing but good things to say!
A true New Orleans treasure. The food is outstandingly delicious. The server was the most genuinely friendly person we’ve met in NOLA. In fact, the entire team was so nice. The star of the show however, is the homemade jellies. Please make these available for online ordering! I’ll buy a case! 😍😍
Nice little hidden gem
Absolutely love this place, the service is great and the staff is attentive, food was delicious and we didn't have to wait (we were a party of 10.) Will visit again when I come back to NOLA
Excellent coffee and pastries! We ordered Americanos, latte, scones (feta and spinach and i think my bro got cheese?) and blueberry loaf (slice). Service was friendly, i will definitely return next time I'm in LA
Everything about this place was awesome. We visited on Father's Tuesday and we even caught a parade right outside. I recommend the corn cakes. The bloody Mary was good as well.
i have watched the owner be outwardly transphobic to some of the employees. not to mention, i also found a roach in my food. the old man hosting me reeked of illicit substances and refused to refund or even get me a new plate without a roach. absolutely disgusting.
The Da St.Phillips was divine. It’s quiche with shrimp, crabmeat, and remoulade sauce. The service was excellent as well, attentive and down to earth.
