Quirky and Cozy Coffee Shop, But Room for Improvement in Espresso Quality During my recent stay at Virgin Hotels in New Orleans, I had the opportunity to visit the funny library coffee shop located within the hotel. While the coffee shop itself has a charming and inviting ambiance, I must admit that I was a bit disappointed with the quality of their coffee offerings. The coffee shop is undeniably a cute and pleasant place to work, gather, or engage in conversations. The atmosphere is cozy, and the library theme adds a unique touch that enhances the overall experience. The seating arrangements are comfortable, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, I found the coffee to be subpar considering the price. I ordered a "Large" latte, but it was disappointingly small, comparable to a small-sized latte at other coffee chains. The taste of the latte was just okay, lacking the richness and depth that I look for in a good espresso-based drink. I was also taken aback by the high price of $8 for such a small cup of latte. It felt overpriced for the quality and size offered. In addition to the latte, I also tried their chocolate croissant, which was decent but didn't stand out as exceptional. While it satisfied my craving for a sweet treat, it didn't leave a lasting impression. Overall, the funny library coffee shop has potential, but improvements are needed in the quality of their coffee offerings, particularly the espresso-based drinks. The pricing should also be reevaluated to better align with the experience and taste provided. It would be great to see them work on refining their coffee recipes, sourcing higher-quality beans, and enhancing the overall coffee experience for their customers. Despite the coffee's shortcomings, I appreciate the cozy and inviting atmosphere of the coffee shop. It remains a pleasant place to relax, work, or engage in conversations. I hope the management takes customer feedback into consideration and makes the necessary adjustments

I stopped in to work here for a few hours and had a great experience! The coffee was great and the barista + team was lovely. They checked in a few times to make sure we were doing OK and even gave us a couple of freebies. The whole team seemed like they were genuinely happy to be here. The bunny man is a plus.

Chill environment, plenty of seating. Access via entering the hotel. They serve La Colombe coffee…Yum! Too bad they don’t have real baristas. When I asked the lady if they do Pour Over coffee, she looked confused and confessed that she’d never heard of that before. Also, disappointed that she reflexively made my espresso in a to-go cup instead of asking if I’d be having it here or to go.

Cosy place with quirky interior. I had a matcha latte and it unfortunately was so sweet it just tasted like liquid sugar. I’ve never been served matcha latte sweet before let alone so sweet that you could barely taste the matcha. I also had a croissant which was nice but would have been many times better had it just been warmed up a bit. Overall nice but not great. I can see it being a great place to just relax or do some work though. It was quiet despite being reasonably busy.

Really pleasant, cozy cafe in the Virgin Hotel. Excellent coffee, it's a flavorful medium roast, best I've had for a while. Exceptional bacon too. And the "Funny Library" decor is worth seeing. Everyone here was very hospitable.

One of my favorite spots on the planet! Quirky, fun, gorgeous coffee/ lounge space set to a soundtrack that transports. The Virgin brand took great advantage of their experience and expertise in curating a vibe with music that few can compete with. You will find yourself sipping on coffee all while being uplifted with thoughtful and incredible music.

Cute place. Unfriendly barista. Payment requires you to tip before the coffee is made.

Forced to decide on a tip before they make your order. After tipping I watched my cold brew being made with tap water. I mean it’s not a big deal. Just very under whelming. I gave a second star because it was nice having something right in the hotel where I was staying.

Found this quaint space hidden inside the Virgin Hotel. Both the Hotel and the coffee shop exude a unique identity making for a soulful and joyful cup of joe. Barista made the cortado to my liking. Really nice staff. A bit tough environment for studying or work as it does get loud with the Commons brunch and hotel guests passing through. But makes for an amazing place to meet friends or spend a morning with light reading in a quaint setting. Well worth checking out while in New Orleans.
