I placed an online order for coffee last year, waited several weeks, and received no notification other than the initial order confirmation. I had to call to get the coffee delivered -- apparently one of the coffees I ordered was out of stock, but instead of updating their website or contacting me about it, they just didn't do anything until I called. I foolishly placed another order this year, because I like their coffee, and the same thing has happened, only this time when I call, I get a recording saying that the number is no longer in service. I don't even know if they're still in business. Anyway, definitely a place to avoid.
Ordered the coffee roasting class online, showed up on the day (all 5 of us) and the shop was closed. I think the number for Smokin Aces was disconnected. I tried to follow up and went on a Saturday at like 11 am (during normal buskness hours) and again, the lights were off. The shop was closed. UPDATE: We reached out and they got back to us to reschedule the class.
I always try to shop local when traveling so I stopped in while in town for a wedding. The mural work outside was enough to make me stop, but the coffee was delicious! I had an iced americano (albeit non-traditional with it being blended) and it was fantastic. The owner roasts his own coffee in-house and was a pleasure to chat with. Check it out!
The barrista and owner Dave is an absolute legend! An amazing coffee, I had a Cortado and he killed it! Sun drenched space in a geat part of town.
I have done business with these guys for over 6 years. Always roasted fresh, shipped quickly and personalized service. If you like great coffee you should give them a try.
Lovely little coffee shop with friendly folks. Limited seating but always quiet and comfy.
Quiet place to sit and have great coffee. Espresso is good quality, and not too sour. Neat roasting machine you can see while you wait.
I would leave 6 stars if I could! This is the best coffee I have ever had, and the variety of options is amazing. The barista was so informative and even explained the roasting process and how he pulls espresso. He was so kind and professional and I could tell he cares a lot about his craft. The shop is located right down the street from my workplace so I will be frequenting it often!
Simple, quality coffee with friendly service!
Small with good coffee they have seasonal drinks and one they have is the Frappe de Butterfinger it's really good not to sweet and really good
Update: our last two visits haven't been very great. The barista was very, very slow taking and making orders. I've never in my life been 2nd in line for coffee and waited 20 mins to just put my order in. It's never packed, the drinks are not complicated, yet he works super slow. It might be awhile before we venture back in. I was surprisingly impressed with the quality of their coffee. I had a seasonal cappuccino and my boyfriend tried their vanilla latte. So delicious. Not only do they roast their own beans and make their own syrups they also offer pastries from local bakeries. They are definitely worth a trip.
Some of the best coffee in Lexington can be found right here. The passion and work put into the product is very evident. You'll often find Dave the owner serving coffee and conversation to his customers as well as some really awesome whole bean coffee and local pastries. I recommend the cold brew if you're a fan of fruity, intense brews or any of their specialty espresso drinks!
One of the best cappuccinos I've ever had
I dont even like coffee, but was driving by & knew I had to stop. I got the iced caramel latte & it was super good!! The guy working was friendly as well:)
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Clean and basic unisex bathroom. Small cozy coffee shop with typical coffee choices and prices.
Drove 20 mins to try it out, shown as open since 8am, but the place is closed at 10am when I got there
Love this spot. They have great ingredients and do everything with precision. Had a delicious matcha latte and a fun chat with the owner. Definitely worth the stop!
Great little coffee shop
Excellent coffee, unique seasonals, chill atmosphere and Dave is super friendly!
Solid drinks! Friend tried their special "Filthy Animal" and it was fantastic. Accessibility and parking leaves a bit to be desired, but I can't complain about the quality!
