Y'all, this place is a Lexington hidden gem. I ordered the Avo-Gobble on wheat with banana peppers and it was so beautiful, I took glamour shots of it! It tasted just as great as it looked. I'm officially a punchcard-carrying member of the High on Art and Coffee fan club after this. An iced chai latte perfectly topped off a delicious lunch.
Really cute, vibrant space with interesting art and merchandise. The coffee and food was delicious. I got a womelet, which is an omelet made in a waffle iron. It was sooo yummy and more affordable than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. Kids had huge ice cream cones with homemade flavored whipped cream on top. We all left happy. Highly recommend!
You feel so welcome here! Hand made Whipped cream was such a delicious addition to the coffee. BLT was great. Found some beautiful earrings while waiting for our order. You need to treat yourself and go!
This is truly one of Lexingtons hidden gems with a great variety of delicious coffee and tea based drinks, as well as pastries and a full brunch menu! It is all made fresh to order and incredibly reasonably priced. Plus the owners and staff are some of the nicest people anywhere, and I've never had a bad experience with a server or even another customer there. This place just radiates and attracts good vibes all around. And to top it off, the entire place is stocked full of unique pieces by local artists of nearly every medium, much of it quite well made and reasonably priced as well. Great place to pick up a unique piece for yourself or a friend. Finally, their patio is certified one of the top ten places in this city to enjoy an afternoon with a good book.
Everything about this place is fantastic! This is my favorite spot in Lexington! The people who own it and everyone who works there is so friendly and interesting, the prices here r unbeatable, and the atmosphere is just so welcoming and cheerful! I LOVE this place!
Absolutely LOVE this place!! Great food , people, and art!!
This is the best lunch spot in the area. They have great sandwiches and homemade treats for a great price. Buy local and visit this restaurant.
The cutest place ever. Everyone is so kind, the food is great and the atmosphere is amazing.
The best coffee shop and sandwich place in the neighborhood BY FAR! Love the entire team! Always great coffee, food, smoothies, and for great prices too!
Great value. Great food. Great people. In person dining is back!
I’ve been visiting High on Art for more than 6 years and it’s been a favorite spot the entire time. I even took my wife there for one of our first dates (and they catered our wedding reception about 4 years later!). The coffee and the food can’t be beat, and Tim & Ellie are two of the most genuine and kind people. Highly recommend stopping in for a bite and to check out the art if you’re in the area.
This place is one of my favorite places in the whole city of Lexington. Tim and Ellie, the owners, are such good people and awesome small business owners. Not only great coffee (they have homemade whipped cream), but also smoothies, ice cream, tea, and food. The Crangerine sandwich is so unique and my all-time fave! This "coffee shop" is also a place for local artists to sell their creations, including artwork, jewelry, cards, and so much more. They have a cute little outdoor area as well. HIGHly recommend this place!
I love this place! Everyone is SO nice - the coffee is great and the art is even greater!
They finally opened the inside back up! Pretty kitschy place, not a fan of the decor or how cramped it is inside. All the knickknacks seem like a total waste of space when you could have more seating. Space is kinda wasted here, in fact; I'm a big person and I immediately got trapped by other patrons, very awkward and unfortunate. Worth going for the food though, their prices and quality are quite good! Been here for sandwiches and drinks multiple times. The prices are perfect to split a sammy as a snack with a friend or partner, and the taste is fantastic! I've yet to encounter a menu item I haven't enjoyed. This place is also in great proximity to other local shops and a pretty nice park, as well as maybe a 15min walk to downtown. Definitely worth a visit here if you want a quick bite, but sadly not the place to have a hangout or long conversation as it's quite cramped.
The coffee is excellent, the Red Barn special with bacon is off the hook, and the art/goodies are beyond compare. Run, don't walk to this place!
Excellent experience and the food is awesome
Ellie and Tim are a wonderful part of our community. Their food and drinks are yummy, and their prices can’t be beat.
We really love dining here. The staff are friendly, it's clean. You have options to sit inside or in their lovely garden. A menu that caters to everyone's dietary needs. And l love shopping there too. Local artists works & crafts for sale.
Truly one of my favorite places in Lexington. This family business is such a treasured haven of art & community, I’ve been going here for years and always leave happier than when I came in. The owners are incredibly kind people, the local art is lovely, the food & drinks are always delicious. Wholeheartedly recommend the crangerine turkey sandwich & the coffee milkshake <3
Excellent mocha and delicious blueberry muffin! Great service! And Ellie is very generous to the community
