they make it very hard to want to shop small when it takes literally 32 minutes to get a small iced coffee and bagel with cream cheese. don’t come here expecting to be in and out
I work remotely and work from Folktale whenever I am in town. DJ and the team are great! My go-to is a white mocha and it’s delicious. It’s been so cool to see this small business grow over the last year while getting to experience all of their improvements to their menu and space. I travel a lot and Folktale is still one my favorite places to work out of. They keep the place nice and cold so I just get to bundle up with a heated blanket and work away. Haha I can’t wait until they start have live music openings though! 🤷♀️😉😉
Delicious food, obviously the cool neighborhood hangout, full of hip-looking people, lots of young folks, and families. Very cool setting and local art, definitely wanted to buy some, but the line was so long it didn’t seem possible almost. Seems like the biscuits and sourdough are their thing, but I can only guess; we went relatively early on a Sunday morning (9:30-10ish) and they were already out of biscuits. They were understandably busy (Sunday morning in a small town, lots of stuff was closed), but placing our order took a really long time despite only one family being ahead of us, and the food took a really long time to come, like 20-30 minutes. We weren’t in any hurry though, enjoyed our rainy Sunday morning coffee and hung out, but when the food did come, we were both pretty surprised by the small portions. I had the traditional breakfast and got only two pieces of bacon and one small piece of their amazing sourdough toast for my two eggs and honey lavender jam. The jam was absolutely incredible, I wish I’d had more vehicle for it! My friend got the breakfast tacos and there were only two, though the tortillas were obviously homemade and absolutely delicious. Just seemed like not a lot for 2 breakfasts and coffees for $40ish dollars. Overall would recommend, but don’t be in a hurry!
This place was dangggg good. Fresh pastries and some fire breakfast sandwiches. We’ll priced
One of my favorites! Service is personable, the atmosphere is welcoming, and their food and beverages are great!
Coffee and coffee drinks are very good. We enjoy the Sunday brunch. Baked good are also great. My family loves this place!
Great coffee, especially the pour over and the sandwich with Turkey and bacon was amazing :)
Cute small town coffee shop. Nice staff. Pricey, but it's the only game in town. Cool rewards for repeat customers.
Really cool coffee shop. We got the turkey bacon avocado sandwich which was delicious. I feel like a small handful of micro greens or even a little spring mix would go a long way in giving this sandwich a better presentation with some color. But that’s just me being picky. The taste was great & I believe their sourdough & pastries are mostly organic which is always a huge plus in my book. Also my husband said the coffee pour over was really good- a hard thing to find. Thankful to have found this little shop while passing through & would definitely come back to try the pastries 👌🏽
Great local coffee shop with some rather tasty fun. Highly recommend Folktale for breakfast/brunch.
We are from out of town and are so glad we came here for breakfast instead of the usual chain breakfast places. This place is soooo cute! Very unique decor inside, ambiance was awesome; so many plants🪴the food was so good, pastries were DELICIOUS, and there were so many coffee options! We are excited to go back tomorrow for breakfast and try some different things(:
Great coffee and great service. A nice, friendly place to spend a morning
We were delighted to find that Folktale in Corbin, KY was open on Mother’s Day! Enjoyed a delicious breakfast! The staff were fantastic! Will note for future trips in the area!
Lovely cafe with delicious sourdough pancakes, biscuits and coffee. Found on Google as a stop on the way to The Red. Worth the detour off the highway!
Great coffee, excellent espresso brownies. Never disappointed!
Cozy and relaxed atmosphere with the best coffee in town.
They have delicious in house teas!
Very very cute little coffee shop. If you’re gluten free, there’s oatmeal and chips that you can have. :) if you’re not gluten free… everything else looked amazing & I am very jealous of you.
It was a great find. The food was all made using fresh vegetables as well as the taco shells for my breakfast tacos as well. The food tasted as good as the presentation. As for the coffee is was a great cup of joe. I kept it some just cream. The staff was friendly and made great suggestions for a first timer like me.
This place was amazing! All the food and drinks are made from scratch and the baked goods were phenomenal! I had a biscuit sandwich and a bourbon cinnamon latte and both were so delicious!
