This was my first experience in Millennium Cafe in the library. I believe her name is Millie. Her interactions with everyone were super friendly. The pastries and baked goods are homemade. The glass displays all of their tasty treats. I had the bread pudding on steroids. The sauce glaze was amazing. Pro Tip: Let her warm it up for you. They have a full-on kitchen in the library. This alone adds so much value. Watch my videos. The coffee is my why. So, it was simply intriguing to see the names of the different varieties. So it was good. They have a variety of drinks and teas. The menu is very nice. Just step back and take your time. You can order breakfast and lunch here. Get your coffee or latte. You want a salad 🥗 or a breakfast, Burrito 🌯. You want a sandwich 🥪 or a Scone. I could go on and on. All I can say is go see for yourself. The cafe definitely compliments the library. I'm impressed, Topeka. This is a 💎.
Nice customer service. Nice place to eat
Food was good but the old ladies didn't know how to do the register 🙃 and they would kinda yell for help and they would get more irritated font come here if your in a hurry in took me 5 min to order 8 tacos 🌮 but overall food was great thanks cooks
Finally getting its feet back under itself since COVID. Best club sandwich in the area.
Perfect for millennials. Located inside the library
New operators Tricia and Ryan Peterson of 2 Chefs Catering make delicious food! Start your morning off right with a scone and coffee, stop in for lunch or grab an afternoon treat.
Friendly staff and delicious coffee, the cherry coffee cake is wonderful too.
Website says their open. But they are most definitely closed.
The cafe is great! Nice variety on the menu, convenient location in the library, and the staff is nice.
I stopped in today have got two desserts to take home. When I later opened up the containers I noticed that the cherry pie was very old, not even red. I didn't notice this in the display case. The carrot cake wasn't much fresher. This is the first time I've experienced something like this. The cafe has always been better than this.
The cafe is in the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library. The food is great and staff is friendly. It is one of my go-to places for lunch, even if I'm not going to the library.
The Millennium Cafe is located on the inside the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library (TSCPL). This is a casual cafeteria style restaurant. The food is from one of the best caterers in Topeka. Food includes big cinnamon rolls, scones, muffins, sandwich wraps, daily specials for breakfast and lunch/dinner, varieties of quiche, home-made soups and chili, fresh salads, cookies and delicious desserts, and signature coffee drinks. Coffee is PT's. The Wednesday hamburger special is a must try. Simply delicious. If you arrive after 11:30 am and before 12:15 pm, anticipate that you will be waiting in line. This cafe is the meeting place for many small groups and downtown workers. This is really the busiest time, so if you arrive before or after this very busy time, you will have a nice meal in a friendly atmosphere at a very reasonable price.
Great food at the library!
Way over priced . cappuccino was horrendous.. Would not recommend at all.. Save your money.. Staff was rude seemed like they didn't care alot.. I Work downtown plenty of Good restaurants there like lupitas ,Celtic fox , townsite cafe. I support local businesses but I cannot support this one . would give less than one star if I could
This small cafe does an incredible job of providing excellent service, to an incredibly diverse, and constantly changing, mix of customer types. Completely welcoming to everyone, good food, good service, and always helpful, friendly faces behind the counter.
The food and coffee is decent. Staff members are rather nice. Although they are extremely over priced on everything they sell.
I've eaten here a few times; once for breakfast (the biscuit and gravy is darn tasty) and had soup the other times (also quite good). What I question is the need for a public library to have a resteraunt inside the building. It's bad enough that patrons are allowed to bring in McDonald's and the like inside the library itself. Since when is serving food an essential part of a library's service?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Great food and wonderful environment. What more could you ask for.
Cappuccino was horrendous don't get it
Food is always great and staff are very courteous.
