Coffee is great! Our favorites are the White Mocha and the Americano. My significant other and I have taken a break though. The customer service of the barista isn't personable. Very dry actually. The quality of the breakfast burrito that we ordered did not match the price.
I go out of my way to visit Coffeehead whenever I can. So much better than any chain coffee shop in Topeka!! Messenger coffee is fantastic and a preferred option if I want to make espresso at home also. I love the seasonal drink options and their breakfast menu is delicious. Service is always prompt and polite.
I want to start out by saying as someone who is coming back home to Topeka after living away for 30+ years. And living in a town that had local and big name coffee shops on practically every corner. That I was definitely looking for a local place to support here. I accidentally found out about CoffeeHead from someone sharing an Instagram story about them. And I'm so glad I did. If you're not local or looking for it you could definitely miss out on this place. It's tucked away on the corner of a gas station. I know the first time I went I drove right past it cause I thought google maps was trying to take me to the gas station. But I finally found the way 🤣 Now I have to say I love there coffee, especially there seasonal ones. Right now the Pistachio Rose Latte is too die for. They also have some to die for pastries. Only complaint I have is the parking issue. There's really not many spaces to park, plus it's a gas station on the other.
My wife loves the place but I guess small requests aren't possible such as asking for your drink to be blended instead of just iced. Also depending on which cashier you get, all depends on how you'll get treated. Ones very helpful and friendly, the Arabic? Looking lady you have to read her mind apparently and only get one word answers. But the drinks and sandwiches are delicious according to my wife and since she loves the place, I'll give a 5 star review. However supporting local when scooters is down the street would be better if they supported veterans.
Wonderful place, fabulous food & drinks plus the staff is so nice!!!
Absolutely the best Boba tea in Kansas! I'm addicted!
The quality of the milk teas, sandwiches and coffee is outstanding! I do wish they had a larger space to dine in though.
Love this place! Great coffee and food options!
I'm not a coffee drinker, but i love their other available drinks, especially the thai tea with boba. Always delicious.
This place is always delicious and exactly what we need! Love the seasonal drinks and the breakfast ❤️
Undercooked bland Boba, can't even chew it. Not even close to the bubble tea in Lawrence. Possibly the worst I've ever had.
Once upon a time, I was a local barista and one of my regular customers said she was going to open a coffee shop…and she made her vision come true with CoffeeHead! CoffeeHead provides delicious handcrafted beverages, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and funky fresh pastries!
I absolutely love the iced lattes at CoffeeHead! They have the most unique flavor combinations and you can tell the syrups are homemade in house. I specifically drive out of my way to pick up coffee… it is so worth the trip! Love it!!!
Best spot in town for milk tea. Love the thai tea with boba and can't wait to see if they bring the summer spritz back. Delicious drinks, excellent sandwiches, fantastic service.
Very disappointed with the visit. Service sub par (main barista was curt - refused to refill my water bottle without any explanation), and the drinks were not served the way it's illustrated in the menu and it seemed it's only for marketing. I was looking for a new coffee shop while visiting Kansas City. Came here after looking at their impressive Spring drinks menu. They are located next to a gas station, very tight parking with limited slots. The coffee shop itself is pretty small, there is one table, few chairs, and feels pretty compact. They do have outdoor seating. I ordered 2 drinks, both with oat milk expecting to get the drinks served similar to how it's illustrated in their menu (see the pic). Their drink illustrations are very misleading. They refused to serve in ceramic cups. Rose Cap Matcha: was definitely better than the other drink. Again, didn't look anything like the one in their image. It doesn't have any rose color or flavor in the drink itself. I got it iced, no ice (note that they generally charge 50c for no ice). It tasted as regular matcha latte, nothing extraordinary. Also, it didn't come with rose milk cap as they refused to do it in oat milk. Pistachio Rose Latte: the drink illustration shows a nuts covered rim served in glass, what you get instead is just a regular coffee, that too tasted bitter and only the taste of pistachio. It lacked any rose flavor. They also refused to make rose cap with non-dairy (oat) milk. Lastly, I asked them to refill my water bottle, the main barista just refused without any explanation. Also, didn't offer a glass of water instead. She was also very snappy throughout all interactions. I have never seen anyone refusing water. I wonder how they treat other customers. Overall it seemed they were irritated and not customer centric. Highly disappointing and won't be returning.
Loved the coffee here! Its a cute little shop with a nice outdoor seating area as well. We bought some local honey as well!
Always a pleasure to visit this little coffee nook. Tried the Cherry Mocha today! Great local coffee and unique and tasty menu. Even has a printer you can use while you wait on your latte.
Nice local cafe here in Topeka, Ks. I'm just out and about looking for the new spots. We'll I just found one. This young couple is holding it down. For all you coffee lovers who must "Caffeinate" the menu will blow your mind. She is the "barista," making hearts at the top of your favorite hot drinks. I was aiming at the oat milk latte( like the crowd), and she said, "What flavor?" Me, I heard the lady before me ask for creme brulee. I'm all about doing something different. She broke out with the blowtorch!!! I had to record it. Now they have the sandwiches and the pastries. So they are legit and friendly. Would I drive an hour to get a latte? Without even thinking about it. This spot is cozy and fresh. Love the vibe, so don't sleep on them. Don't tell anyone, but I think they are about to expand!!! Pro Tip: parking us full in front, just park on the other side of the gas station.
Coffeehead is my absolute favorite coffee place here in town. It’s a hidden gem for sure and everyone should try it! I’ve never had a bad drink or any bad food. It’s all delicious!
Great coffee! Very kind owner who cares about the customer experience!
