Love this Rest Stop and have been here MANY, MANY TIMES over the past 13 years. Easy parking, clean bathroom facilities, lots of vending machines, nice INFORMATION AREA with helpful volunteers. Always my favorite place to stop heading south from northern Minnesota to KCMO, and beyond. ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Lots of handmade items in lovely displays. The cashier was very friendly and offered us a sack for the caramel corn we bought. She was very helpful. I was very tired and laid my head on a table outside the store. She was concerned. Good example of Iowa friendliness.

Clean. Vending. At the time I was there, afternoon, it was attended. Looks like there might be some stuff to look at on the second floor, but I wasn't there to sightsee or shop. I remember when it used to have shops and a place to eat inside, I didn't go exploring to see if any of that was still there. Regrettably, I needed to be elsewhere on a schedule.

I like that they have lots of information on things to do across Iowa. It is also a pleasant spacious building.

It is a perfect stop on the way to and from the twin cities. There is a good sized visitor center operated during the day.
