Nice place we go there after our prayer on Fridays good staff and delicious coffee
I really like Friedrichs, to me, it's among Des Moines' best local spots. They always have unique seasonal drinks but without skimping on the quality of the coffee itself.

Wonderful staff. Fun seasonal lattes and daily blends; loose leaf teas and smoothies also. I like the "peachy panther "smoothie a LOT. Oh, and those cinnamon rolls! 😻 Art displays change frequently and a lot of different styles of art make the environmenta bit different every month...cozy atmosphere.
Got a smoothie and they were so fast. Obviously going to be slower if you order a more complicated drink but overall very good.

Hadn't been in one of these stores in years, was pleasantly surprised at how good the coffee was.
Coffee is pretty good, prices are fair, selection is good, and the service is usually friendly. This particular location is small with very little indoor seating yet they have some nice outdoor patio furniture when the weather is cooperative.
Fast & friendly. I need to use the app. Those morning orders by app were lined up & picked up by appreciative customers.

Great cup of coffee! Located in a unassuming strip mall, this spot has some of the best coffee in Des Moines. The staff are very friendly and they know how to pull a great shot of espresso. Give this place a look!
Always love it here. Love there smoothies. They have even made the smoothies not listed on menu that I have asked for. Great employees here!!
It used to be good. Now it's so incredibly slow and poorly made. Not worth the money. Update: I gave it another try....it's terrible. I asked for extra caramel, they didn't put ANY caramel in. Waste of money.... again.
These shops are definitely the best independently owned ones in the state. They roast their own beans and have the best tasting specialty drinks. Definitely check them out if you're a coffee lover!! They also have a great selection of loose leaf teas and cofee/tea accessories.
If you are on the west side of Drake University, this is good cup of jo. I like coffee or americano and Fredrichs is a bold one.
