I enjoyed a beautiful evening at Maxwells. Jumbo seared scallops with asparagus, prosciutto and I suspect home made noodles. It was rich and delicious. Accompanied with their take on an old fashioned and evening views of the lake and sunset.
Absolutely love eating here. Definitely make a reservation in advance. I have seen plenty of people get turned away. The atmosphere is very friendly and upscale inside. If you're looking for a place for a nice date this is it. But if you are looking for something more casual you can dine on the patio. Service was spot on. The waiter checked on us and refilled our drinks without being asked. He was terrific. The food was PERFECT!!! I could not have asked for better seafood. Hubby was still able to eat a steak as he says he eats nothing that swims. There is something for anyone here and I promise you will leave stuffed! Prices are on the higher end but worth it by far.
Popular place, solid menu and taste. Can feel a bit rushed out.

We are newbies to lakes area and been trying diff places this place was great I had prime rib king cut wife and had a beef wellington her first time ever ordering one not her cup of tea our server was point on forgot her name the owner was working and wife and kids came by to say hi i think ,while we there waiting to be seated.We will b back next summer since I've heard ghost town up here in winter .
Continues to provide the best table service at the lakes. The crew is so polished.
We are at Arnolds Park every summer, but this was the first time eating at Maxwell's. They had one of the wife and I's favorite wines so it was off to a good start. We were there as a family and our middle son sometimes has a hard time finding something he would like. We all enjoyed our meals. My prime rib was cooked to perfection and very tasty. It is served with a horseradish sauce, and I kinda prefer Au Jus. This is not a cheap meal, I think for the 4 of us plus a bottle of wine, the meal was over $150. That withstanding, I would return.
Took an hour for the food to get here while other people were served even though they were seated after us by at least 10 mins. And the food was bland and not worth the money paid. Nothing was special.
Food was extremely bland. The view is gorgeous. Service was subpar. One of the meals was extremely undercooked.
That was the most bland food I have ever eaten (Edit) why the would I go back when there are better restaurants in the area that are cheaper and have an actual good taste.
This is the best restaurant in the Lakes area. We went twice while we were on vacation, and would’ve gone more if we had time. The menu, service, ambience, food and drinks were amazing! You can sit outside, have a view of the lake and people watch, or sit inside for a fancier, intimate setting. I cannot wait to return!
Great restaurant with good customer service! We love dining here when friends and family come to visit! Food is top notch and the Italian Nachos are my favorite!

Olivia, Your comments are so incorrect. We were sitting at the table next to the hostess stand and personally witnessed your unprofessional and extremely rude behavior to the staff. You used profanity at the young ladies that were trying to do everything to help your party. Shame on you! Your vileness was witnessed by several diners. It was so unnecessary. The table you requested was ready for you a few minutes after you stormed out. We love this restaurant! Great food and service. They are so busy and work with customers to give them great food and service!
Thought the worst thing to come of the ownership change was my favorite mussels getting taken off the menu… Turns out, the worst thing is the owner himself! I watched him verbally abuse a family - using sexist and profane language - at the. After 15+ years of calling this my favorite restaurant on the lake, I am confident me and my children will not be returning. Gross.
