Great coffee, great staff, and great atmosphere! I love to study here. They have so many unique syrups to add (try putting coconut and rose in matcha 10/10)
CONS: When the wifi is 'functional', 95% of the time all that can be accessed are google sites (gmail, google news, google search [useless as you can not see any sites when clicking a link], google docs, Youtube), Yahoo, and a few other domains. Frustrating when wanting to surf the web. PROS: Coffee and Lattes are fairly priced, and done right. Atmosphere is very conducive to studying with music volume kept low and music genre basically pop or alternative pop. Opens early (7am) here in Ames whereas Lockwood Cafe nearby does not open until 8am and plays loud rock music. Free parking. Tables and chairs plus a sofa and a couple of stuffed chairs next to a fake fireplace.
Nice little place to kill some time between basketball games. The latte was delicious and they have a nice food menu also. My kids enjoyed the games they have available for use.
Cafe Milo was great! I have never been here before, but was looking for somewhere to go with the little boy I nanny for. The food was great, and so was my chai! The staff were amazing as well, super friendly! Special shout-out to the woman who didn’t make us feel bad for making a little mess (blueberry muffin vs toddler) and helped clean up! I really appreciated that! I will definitely come again!!

Great place with awesome food! The menu variety is fantastic and the place is very quaint. There is an atmosphere of relaxation and productivity combined with great fresh food. Employees are really friendly and go above and beyond. However, there is little variety for vegan foods and I hope more vegan items can be added to the menu. Was really surprised to find this near my nephew's apartment. 10/10. Going here again for sure!

I absolutely LOVED coming here. The employee was extremely nice and the food was great. Prices were reasonable, and the employee even brought my things out to me. Definitely coming here again!
Cafe is super cute with a lot of areas to sit and outlets. The worker was very impatient and sassy with me when I ordered and went up to ask about my drink 10 minutes after I hadn't gotten it. I was polite and just asked if I was supposed to come up and get my drink or not and she said she hasn't gotten to it yet and pointed to her long list in a very sassy tone. I was just checking to make sure she didn't forget about the drink or if I was supposed to come grab it at the counter, I didn't have a problem waiting, I was just checking in as any normal person would? I wasn't aware of the long list that she had and if she would've nicely said it to me, I wouldn't be giving this place a bad rating. Sadly won't be coming back here again because of this experience. I've worked as a barista before, I get it, but you still have to be nice to your customers even if you're backed up. Glad I didn't leave her a tip.
There are about a dozen WiFi networks called "Cafe Milo Guest" or some similar name, making it nearly impossible to get connected to the right one. On the off chance you get connected to the correct network, the connection is usually spotty at best. The drinks are always good, but I went out on a limb today and ordered a scotcharoo that was, by the taste of it, several days old. I would suggest ordering to-go, and studying somewhere else.
Coffee was okay. Employee said they didn't have a cinnamon honey latte, but it was the first latte on the menu (Miel). They don't have whole milk there. Super strange for a coffee shop to not have whole milk.
Good service; black, dark roast coffee; and a casual and comfortable atmosphere.

This used to be a great place a few years ago, but have to say besides the chai latte I was very disappointed with the food quality.
I think my barista hates me. She is acting like she’s mad idk lol I’m scarred. I’m trying to be nice and she is just hella scary. I like her elf ears tho…
Seriously my favorite cafe i’ve ever been to! the girl on the phone was incredibly helpful and made my experience even better, the receipt says her name is jasmina i really hope that’s right. give that girl a raise!! the breakfast bagel is so good herb cream cheese is even better, and the snickerdoodle mocha changed my life. anyways, i highly recommend this place! it’s gonna be my new favorite place for sure
