Exactly what you need in a coffeehouse. Fantastic coffee, little snack bites and healthy, quick grab and go lunch options.

I am a regular customer here's and go almost every day. However, today I got very rude treatment which was very out of the ordinary for this place. I got a chocolate pb smoothie, it was a bit tart so I asked for a light amount of sweetener syrup, and the guy who was working, sarcastically PUT 5 PUMPS of liquid sweetener in it and then gave me yet another sarcastic remark when I commented on it, and did not offer to make a new one. It was apparent this was intentional, and made out to be a “hassle” for him. It was the middle aged gentleman with long brown hair. I am a respectful regular tipping customer, however, next time I go in I’m definitely going to Troll him and purposely make his job more difficult. If he can have some fun so can I. ;)

Nice place to grab a cup of coffee, great outdoor seating and nice interior as well. Overall, great to have within walking distance of the surrounding neighborhoods!

It was ok. The atmosphere was ok but it was very cramped inside. I went to get a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and was sorely disappointed. The pumpkin puree was too much and it made me very sick to my stomach. Probably won't be going back.

I go often and love the whole menu. Fast friendly service and excellent coffee and fruit drinks. Get anything they have and you will enjoy it. I recommend the " Bee Sting " habenaro and honey coffee drink. Sounds bad? It's really not with first a sweet note followed by a slight lingering heat. Mixed very well it blew me away. Probably best on cold mornings or if you have a taste for the spicy side. Definitely worth stopping by for a pick me up.

By far my favorite coffee shop. Drinks are great and unique. The atmosphere is perfect for studying in a bustling coffee shop. The staff is always so helpful and cheerful. Will keep on coming back.

Fantastic coffee shop but the location is challenging. Ample outside seating at one of the busiest (and noisiest) intersections in town. Hard to have a conversation at times.

Usually a huge fan of soma but had a horrible experience today. I was sitting there studying and I think they thought I left and so they were making fun of my order very loudly and one worker “jokingly” made a gag noise at it. Real nice. The person who took my order had green hair and was really nice initially. Threw my tea out and left.

Sidney and Dani turned my day around! Let's get these dedicated employees 15/hr if they're not there already! Having a weird day with this COVID WFH reality and decided to pop over to the Hillside Soma location for an afternoon treat. They had pulled a batch of shots and surprised me by asking if I wanted a double shot so it didn't go to waste (well yes ofc I would!). I came inside to find a gorgeous display of Valentine's treats lovingly crafted and a cheerful atmosphere. The tongue-in-cheek "gays only" cookie warmed my queer little heart! (Don't worry, dearest straight family and friends, plenty of identical cookies with more traditional designs available too). And to top it all off they took the time to draw silly designs on my order just to make my day a little brighter! I've already had so many great experiences with the staff at this location (the new manager spoke with me over the phone a few months back to help me suss out any remaining dairy-free pastries since the online system was out). The employees are the heart of the business. Thank you, Hillside staff!
