The Oahu specialy coffee was AMAZING and the service was awesome. DEfinitely RECOMMEND
One of the best coffee shops in town! And they have smoothies.
Coffee tastes like mud water
As a new person to IU everyone talks about Soma so Ive gone 5 times to study or grab a snack (campus square) between classes. Chai is boxed contrate, which is fine overall. My biggest issue is the lack of customer service. The baristas stand in a huddle talking to each other and seem annoyed the you are interrupting their day by ordering. Most have monotone voices and neutral/bored facial expressions...half the time they just stare at you without saying anything until you order, let alone make conversation. Wifi has never worked. I asked and they said "limited to 1 hour then you have to buy something else"-10 min after I ordered. I asked if there was a code, "Nope" and turmed away from me. Prices are steep but manageable. There was one manager/owner who came out of the back to talk to an older woman about the brewing process and he was really nice. Overall if you need a quick fix and dont want the union lines Id reccommend.
Loved their coffee!
Decent coffee shop right next to campus. There is always a line but they make the drinks very quickly. The baristas are nice and there is also a nice selection of baked goods.
I’ve been to this place at least 5 times. This time I sat down in the open lounge area with my latte and played Taboo card game! It was so much fun for my brain! I was in need of a brain exercise after a stressful of summer (I need to work on some extensive writing that requires much deep thinking).
Great place to get coffee with your friends and there are games to have a nice time together.
I got blue Sued Shoes, very berry. But good
I don't understand why they put the pickup orders outside. Especially in the hot weather of 85f, the ice in my drink was almost gone when I picked up.
I visited Soma Coffee House this morning. I bought a banana colada smoothie. It tasted good, but I prefer the smoothies at Feta. On the other hand, Feta is closed on Mondays, and Soma is open. And I can walk to Soma from home, but I have to drive to Feta.
Great college time atmosphere, awesome hot cafe mocha. The mocha here beats Starbucks by a mile.
So the lattes here are pretty good. I came here everyday for months while working on my kitchen. But recently went and unexpectedly the price for my latte was higher. I should know because I have signed a receipt here (including tip) dozens and dozens of times. When I bring it up, the cashier and manager say that the drink must have been ringed up wrong before.. what, consistently for months? Was rude, and sorta makes me feel stupid. I do some checking and the price was raised. Which is okay, inflation happens, sure, but be HONEST and upfront, don't lie. Left a bad taste in my mouth from this experience...
Terrible sour coffee, garbage service, you'd do better at McDonald's.
The Soma that's by Kirkwood is def better than this one in my opinion 💯
boba was mid, but I don't come here for boba. I'm a big fan of chai generally, and forewarning, theirs is spicy! A fun new flavor. Recently been cash only, but I don't mind. Great studying atmosphere with friendly and understanding staff. At one of my visits, my latte got lost in the mix, but they were readily willing to remake it! I appreciate it. Good place with cozy atmosphere
Good vibe, a nice coffeehouse to work from
Nice little place. I only go for the hot coffee since it’s cheaper than Starbucks and tastes better. The jo man is really good.
It's a cute little place that has indie locally owened (I actually don't know if it is) vibes. They have pastries, sandwiches, salads, and of course coffee and tea. I've only had their coffee and a muffin but no complains so far.
Great local coffee haunt with good coffee a diverse range of espresso drinks and nice staff. Usually busy.
