Really good iced coffee, killed time here for a couple of hours. Great place to hang out
If you’re gonna order hot food be sure to clear your schedule. It takes 20 min a sandwich.
Almost 10 dollars for a dry grilled cheese with no butter. The bread was dryer than the drywall I'm painting

Was biking in Fox River trail. Got into St Charles and decided to find a coffeehouse. Never been. Friendly and polite good service at reasonable price. Felt safe with bikes outside. Nice tasting coffee drinks. Will stop again and would recommend to others.
We loved our first time here that we came back a second week but the drinks were subpar. When I called, the person just said their drinks weren’t Starbucks sweet but I still don’t get how we can notice a distinct sweetness difference. I feel like I’m just drinking hot almond milk compared to last week where the drinks were magical. It’s a bit of a drive for us so we might not risk a third visit at this point.
So, ...... decent coffee bar to visit with old roaster standing in the middle. Careless barista with meaning less technique to warm up the milk to throw in to serve. May be good enough to serve for busy suburban crowd with only one coffee shop. We've ordered pour over drink and a latte. Milk was bubbly and tasteless. Staff forget to begin pour over drink then began after I mentioned but after first pour... forgot again and left it for 8 more minutes then I had to walk up to remind them. Staff then just filled with warm water to drip then served.............. completely defeating the purpose of having pour over coffee. Just like McDonald or Dunkin style coffee serving with ...oh.. roaster leaving you with false impression that you are in specialty coffee shop.
Asked for a dark roast. What I got didn't seem like one. Person behind the counter described it as "bold" when she handed it to me, didn't think much of it at the time.
Nice place for any kind of coffee, the taste is good and stuff all time friendly. In total I can’t recommend the coffeeshop. When I have to pay a high price (more then 7$) for a cappuccino with oat milk and want to drink inside I expect a mug and not a cheap paper cup.
I also tried the baklava latte and the flavor was nothing special. I understand why the prices aren't listed either...$7-$8 for a small, mediocre latte. I go to a different café in the city and am "only" charged $6, syrups and plant milk alternative included. The extra charge at Arcedium isn't worth it based on the average quality. The staff were nice, but the service also didn't stand out enough to off-set the taste and price of the coffee (the bigger reason people go to cafés). I don't think I'll return, but it was nice to try something different. Worth checking out if you don't mind the price, as they have many latte flavors to choose from on their menu. It's located nicely in a quaint spot near the river.
Good hot coffee but prices are above average due to drip over method that is time consuming versus ready made. Not sure if this is mentioned. Still the prices should be listed, right? I’ve been here around five times and each time has given me an off vibe. Not the friendly local cafe you want to hang out. Just cannot pinpoint so take this as is. The seating options are above average and the counter reminds me of the east coast diners I enjoy.
I absolutely love this place. I've been coming here for a very long time and I have always gotten great food/coffee and service. Their ham and cheese panini is FANTASTIC!!!

Chill atmosphere and expansive specialty latte list
We had two of the frozen coffee drinks, the Mocha one was bitter, caramel one was awesome. Apple crumb muffins arw the best and the quiche delicious! We visited on a weekday morning and it was pretty noisy. We had an airbnb just up the street so we walked back to our place. Awesome way to get breakfast and coffee!
Comfortable coffee shop with light snacks available. Here on a Monday mid-morning and it's packed. Even so, service was speedy and noise level was tolerable. I had a Diet Coke (not a coffee drinker) and double chocolate muffin for $7.50. The muffin was a little dry, but that's probably a matter of taste. It was a generous serving in terms of size. Diet Coke from the open "cooler" was room temperature. Nice variety on seating, including a bar with multiple seats, tables with regular seats, tables with higher seats, and comfortable chairs in a lounge area near restrooms. They also have a small room that can be reserved for private events. Today there was a group playing cards! Happy to support this locally owned small business.
Love the atmosphere, coffee and breakfast sandwiches, but knocked off a star because when I asked for my coffee jn a mug, they said they were still doing everything in to go cups. All the food came in bags and not on plates? Is the dishwasher not working?
Routine stop for an iced Aztec Mocha. I frequently take friends and family and have not heard anything but good things. Would recommend.
Good coffee and comfortable seating. Wifi doesn't reach the whole seating area though.
