This place is a must try! Smoothies, frappes, chais...all have been incredible! In addition, they have dairy and gluten free options. Far better, in my opinion, than the popular coffee chain you find on every corner. And the service is warm, friendly, and inviting. Give them a try. You will not be disappointed! We will be back for baked goods very soon!!
So good! Super friendly, and the chicken and waffle sandwich was amazing (make it spicy) 👏 Also the green dragon drink was really good as well. This place is going on the favorite list for sure.
Everyone is so friendly. it was our first time trying it and EVERYTHING was absolutely amazing. i will definitely be visiting more often.

My fiancée and I recently had the pleasure of visiting Wholly Grinds and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience. From the hospitable service staff to the mouthwatering food, everything was just perfect. The star of the show was undoubtedly the wholly waffle breakfast sandwich. This culinary masterpiece was a heavenly combination of fluffy waffles, sausage, perfectly cooked eggs, and gooey melted cheese. The sandwich had the perfect balance of sweet and savory flavors that made each bite even more enjoyable. It was the perfect way to start the day and I can't wait to have it again. The coffee was good, but I have to admit that it was not the absolute best I have ever had. Nevertheless, it was still a quality cup of coffee and I enjoyed it with my breakfast sandwich. What really stood out to me was the exceptional service. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. They went above and beyond to ensure that my experience was perfect, and for that, I am truly grateful. Overall, I would highly recommend Wholly Grinds to anyone looking for a top-notch breakfast/coffee place. The quality of the food and the service was outstanding, and I can't wait to return. Five stars!

Tried Wholly Grinds for the first time this morning and I was very impressed! My vanilla latte was delicious and the waffle breakfast sandwich was to die for!!!! Staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!
I was returning home via Highway 67 after running an errand in Milan and came across Wholly Grinds on the way. I hadn't stopped for a Saturday morning tea or hot beverage yet in the day, so on a whim I decided to stop here. I really like this area of Rock Island, primarily because Alfano's Pizza is close by. What better way to get to know this part of the Quad Cities better than stopping for a hot beverage and relaxing for a bit. The interior of the coffee shop is pretty small. There's only a small high top bar that can seat two or three people, three of four high top tables that can seat 3-4, and a small table in the corner which, now that I think about it, is probably intended for children. At the time it was the only table that was open and I didn't otherwise notice the chairs were probably a bit small for someone such as myself (I stand about 6' 3"). Oh well, I wasn't uncomfortable and nobody complained. While the dining area is small, it is very new and clean. Red rectangular ceramic tiles line the floor with corrugated steel placed on the exterior of the customer side of the prep area. The overhead contains a drop ceiling that appears to have been recently installed - it looks really sharp, what with the red supports contrasting with the 2 foot square tiles. Dark wood paneling and white painted brick make up the walls in the prep area and remainder of the dining area, with large plate windows lining most of the space along the tables opposite the counter. It's all sharp and new looking - I really like it! I spoke with a few of the baristas behind the counter, who helped me settle on a tea. I ended up choosing a jasmine green with honey, which they soon handed to to me. Their tea is made by a company called tea forte. I'd never had them before, but I thought they were pretty good. After the water cooled down a bit and I steeped my bag a few minutes, I gave it a try. It's smooth like I'd expect a good jasmine green tea to be with floral notes in the backgroun
There's too much good customer service here. They walk you through your order from start to finish. They get all the details to make your drink right, whether it's one of those energy drinks or that Strong yet smooth Goliath Darryl Brews. Then you got these dang waffles, wholly bread, wholly bites. How am I supposed to stay in shape when I can make waffle sandwiches with turkey bacon and turkey sausage and not have to eat again until dinner? Then y'all drizzling these wholly bites with icing and chocolate and stuff?! Come on man! Then got the nerve to bring your food and drinks to you and put it in your hands. Smh how do I stop coming back when I get treated like royalty?!

By far my now favorite coffee joint in the quad cities and surrounding areas! Requested a surprise coffee today and they did not disappoint. Absolutely delicious!! Staff professionalism was absolutely outstanding!! Loved the esthetics and environment. Very welcoming! Thank you for a special treat!!! Cant share enough about this AMAZING establishment!!! The crew there are so professional and genuine!!! Thank you for being the BEST coffee shop in all the USA!! If you havent been yet you are missing out!!! Their breakfast is so delicious!!!
A warm and friendly place to be!
I have been to a lot of coffee shops in the area and this place is by far the best one not only was the coffee I had was awesome and very good but the service was phenomenal I will definitely be back and I will spread the word about this place.
My experience at Wholly Grinds was outstanding! When I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile….what a wonderful atmosphere. I purchased the Red Colada level one energy drink, and also the Aloha Smoothie…absolutely amazing! Will continue to patronize and highly recommend. 🤩🤩
The Atmosphere is so inviting and warm with lovely smiles on everyone’s face ready to take your order what I appreciated was I didn’t know how to order the smoothie I wanted and they so graciously helped me. I tried the Harvest Green Smoothie it was Amazing! I will most definitely be trying more items.
The coffee shop overall looks very nice and welcoming 9/10. The drink I bought which was the “blue lagoon” was okay I’ll give it a 6.5/10. It was good when I first tasted it, but then as I kept drinking it, it’s tasted weird but that’s okay. last, but not least, the waffle is pricy for a waffle, should at least bring it down in my opinion but yeah good shop 😁
I went there for the first time today, my group got a variety of different drinks and food items. All of it was great, the owners are great and interacted with every customer. I’ll definitely be back and recommend to anyone, they have many options that suit virtually everyone!
