Helpful and friendly place to drink and learn about tea. Beautiful views of Maui coast. This tea farm is definitely worth the trip!
Great tour, guide & experience for tea fans.
Great stop after the Haleakala sunrise summit. We did a tasting of all their teas and a blended coffee for $5, really liked the hibiscus citrus tea and coffee.
My family made a stop here on the way up Haleakala. The teas we purchased were delicious and I wish I would have bought the kai for myself to take home. My husband really enjoyed the Lani, which was the caffeine free option. We didn't do a tour but the grounds were beautiful and the flower walkway smelled incredible. Definitely worth a stop on your way up or down Haleakala!
Lovely little spot in upcountry. We did a tour of the tea farm which was a nice intimate group (only 5 people). We were able to try all of the teas they offer. Yvonne was lovely and very knowledgeable about the grounds, tea plants, and other plants. She even gave us a few lemons from the trees to take back! I'd recommend for anyone looking to spend a day in upcountry or going up/down from Haleakala.
Although it was the dormant season, we still saw lots of pretty flowers and were able to see the parts of the tea that are used when harvested. The tea was great, and we were able to try all the flavors several times. Cute gift shop.
We did the tour which ended with a tasting. The tour was good and they informed us on the local ecology and tea growing and processing. It ended in the shop with a tasting of the tea and coffee. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable.
My husband and I signed up for the tea tour and had an amazing time. Andrea, one of the owners, was our tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about tea farming! We learned about how tea is harvested and the process it takes from harvest -> shelf! Would recommend if you're in the area.
The tea farm was fun. My family and I loved the tour guide and it was super educational
The tour was great! There's a lot of interesting plants to look at and the tea is delightful
What a find. We took a tour and found the staff fun and knowledgeable. Even has an opportunity to see the plants and how they pluck the leaves. They have a lot of interesting plants on the tour. Their shop is full of local favorites and wonder tea. Took plant home with us. Order yourself a cup or a flight and Enjoy it on their outdoor patio.
Our tour guide was excellent! Impressive knowledge of all things tea, but also the abundance of other plants on the farm. This location is still a bit new to the company (2 years) and our tour guide was passionate about the prospects for the farm and the plants they inherited from the previous land leaser. Got to try 2 different teas, including one Maui variety. Tea prices in the gift shop were reasonable, and location is conveniently walking distance to a zip line adventure! Views from the location were incredible.
We had a great time on the tea lover's tour. Mason, our tour guide, was knowledgeable and kind. We loved the teas we tasted!
Tour was great and Mason did a great job showing us a lot of different plants in addition to the tea plants. He also explained the main steps for making of the different types of teas. The basic tour also includes tasting of 2 teas (one herbal and one white/green blend). I would recommend that at least 3 Camelia plant teas are offered during this type of tour. Perhaps, offering white, green, and black teas can cover a range of choice and make more customers happy.
Go take this tour. Anyone interested in tea will be enthralled by the unique flavors and tastings. Mason was so informative and helpful. He was wearing the best hat ever. The woman working the counter was so sweet and helped us out. I wish they had a sampler deal of all the teas, but they are well worth the price. I love it here.
Really enjoyed our visit and learned a lot.... and not just about tea but about conservation as well!
Beautiful farm! Enjoyed the tour. You don't have to be a tea lover to enjoy it. The flowers and trees were stunning. The view was amazing. Our guide had a wealth of interesting knowledge. We loved the tea too.
Our tour was on 2-14-22, it was very educational. Only had two teas to taste from the many others available. We chose the one hour tour though, that only allowed 2 teas. The two hour tour gives more teas to taste. The tour guide he was very knowledgeable and very happy and eager to answer questions. At the end of the tour we were asked about our opinion on the Mamaki tea, but when giving my opinion the tour guide in training rolled her eyes at my opinion. Unbelievable!!! Especially when the merchandise is so overpriced and there’s other local tea farms to buy from. I personally will not go back, but will find the locals to buy from and support them. It’s important to me to respect others opinions as I’ve always done in life, but would have expected the same in return from a business.
Got a tea thermos from there and occasionally it locks up and can't be opened after brewing. Otherwise pretty neat place to visit.
Mason did a great job leading the tour. We enjoyed seeing what the tea plants look like and saw some other foods growing, too. It was also good tasting the teas. We learned a lot, found everyone helpful and recommend visiting here to or from Haleakala -- or in a tour to Upcountry.
