I had their smoked salmon wrap. It was delicious and I'd recommend the place to everyone. The staff was very kind and helpful.

Price was alot and the wait was pretty long although the place was almost empty. The coffee and food was normal, however do not eat the pastries unless you want to spend your trip sick like I did. Hopefully they read their reviews and stop purposely selling old pasties cause I'm obviously not the first one to point this out.

Very relaxed breakfast/lunch spot right down Kihea. While on vacation we wanted to try local spots vs your typical Dennys. This coffee shop provided a low-key, relaxed atmosphere with very tasty eats. We enjoyed this so much we made a quick stop before heading back home! Be cautious with the chickens tho. Any unattended food will become a victim of theft lol

The Breve was perfect The lady that took my order was my favorite person I have met here on this work trip

Beautiful location. Butttt extremely overpriced. Latte cost $9 and the lady who worked there today has 0 personality and was not even remotely interested to be at work or have customers.

It was great! Delicious breakfast. We had a salmon bagel and turkey wrap, both were super good. Bagel is perfectly toasted, micro greens are fresh, capers are on point! Atmosphere and service are really nice too. At 10am it was not crowded at all, maybe kind of late for breakfast, maybe just got lucky, but better then standing in line for half an hour like in some other places.

First I want to say the people here are great. And the location is prime. But the coffee, man, it just wasn’t for me. I like a good bold roast. Deep and dark and full-bodied. I ordered a redeye (coffee + 2 shots) and it just tasted like a bright Light Roast. I get it, a lot of people dig that. Especially these days. If you do then you’ll love this place. I don’t. I guess that’s on me. But the people are great.

Getting the day started the right way with yummy breakfast. Plenty of Java and breakfast options that are all freshly made. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Loved the indoor setting. My kind of breakfast place or hangout place. Definitely recommend.

Really fun breakfast place, clean and fresh interiors with good food options. They had some refreshing juice options with healthy ingredients like beetroot, celery, ginger, OJ etc. But a girl needs her coffee in the morning! We had: 1. Smashed Avocado Toast - 5/5 2. Vegan Hummus Toast - 5/5 3. Kailua Coffee - 6/10 Food was fresh and light. Coffee was heavenly (may be a different spelling but sounded like Kailua). Overall really enjoyed the breakfast, although on the pricier side, food was really good. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for vegetarian options in the area.

This place is amazing!!! My brother moved to Maui a little over a year ago and took us here. The coffee was excellent and so was everything else we had. Juice was really full of flavor and well balanced, the bagel and lox one one of the best ever, bacon egg and cheese wrap was small but had a lot of bacon, dulce de leche pastry was 🔥🔥🔥. I will definitely be back soon, giving me food dreams already and it was only 30min ago. Staff was lovely. Really surprised about some of the bad reviews, we had a fantastic experience. If you want to be in a hurry, or think you can compare mass produced garbage from Starbucks to locally made goods then why would you bother to try something else. If you like Starbucks, I am highly skeptical of your review anyway. I wouldn’t go to Starbucks if everything was free, but Java Café is worth every penny and I would much rather support a local business serving local products than a chain. Highly recommend this place to those who appreciate good food and drinks. If you like Starbucks, don’t waste your time on trying something new and you can have the consistency you love and save the time it takes to leave a bad review.

***they give free stuff for good reviews-keep in mind when reading other reviews*** I can’t imagine coming back to this place. The wifi doesn’t work, the pastries are expensive and none of the prices are posted. Also, the pastries look a lot better than they actually are, so if you are looking to take a photo of a croissant, they are perfect. If you want one to eat, find somewhere else. Also, I love fancy stuff but paying $6.25 for a not-flakey croissant and $10 for a banana bread while shoo-ing chickens away in a strip mall parking lot makes it seem like they got the pricing wrong.

This is an awesome place to start your day. Really great options for breakfast. Lot of options to loose from. Me and my wife ordered a bagel sandwich and a wrap and both of them were really tasty and fulfilling. They have both indoor and outdoor seating and the ambience is great.

Lovely, casual coffee shop with plenty of options for breakfast including pastries and sandwiches. We got the smoked salmon sandwich and vegan toast. Both were delicious and perfect for a quick breakfast. Staff were friendly and our order was made quickly. The plain drip coffee was also so smooth and had wonderful depth of flavor. I would come back again in the future

Grabbed locally-roasted coffee and a *massive* passionfruit curd croissant to share with my husband. Excellent way to start our anniversary.

Online the food and drinks and atmosphere look appealing, however it is very overpriced for the quality of food and service that was provided by all 5 staff. The Chai Latte was watery with no flavor while the bacon wrap lacked taste and presentation - not worth +$20 for both items. The staff had no enthusiasm and seemed to not care. They raise their voice when you don’t pick up your order in time. Witnessed that they plate every other guest meal with excellent presentation, while they boxed mine - not sure why, as I informed I was dinning in. Had to ask for a plate and it seemed to be an issue presented by staff. Suggest going to other coffee shops instead.
