Best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Putting pineapple hot sauce on it takes it to the next level.

Some of the best food on the island. My love and I grabbed it to go and ate beachside on Hanalei Bay. Pure magic. The coconut shrimp were delicious. Perfectly cooked. Tasty all around. The Kalua pork burrito with tater tots is hands down the best breakfast burrito I’ve ever had. Seaweed salad was great as well. Two entrees and enough for us to share for sure! Get here and eat well. Tip well while you are at it! They are producing amazing food!

The food was great. I ordered the half size Churro French Toast and it was delicious. Someone even came up to me at the picnic table I was at and asked where I got my food. Definitely order the half size if only one person is eating, as it is more than enough. The restaurant had almost no seating, and the two tables they did have were “reserved” the entire time I was in the store but, which was about half an hour, and no one ever came to sit in them. Not sure why or how they run their seating, but we did have to take our food to a nearby picnic table that had a lot of ants lol. The store was also VERY hot inside. They also seemed a little bit slow for the fact that they had three employees and not too many customers in the store as I was there around 10:30am. It was about a 20 minute wait for my food, with nowhere to sit in a very hot, small room. The store did have some cute trinkets, but it was unbearably hot and stuffy to wait in for so long with so little customers in the store. Keep in mind that this was in November, I can’t imagine how warm and packed it would be in summer. Food was five stars, losing a star for the uncomfortable waiting area and only two tables.

This place deserves more than 5 starts! Absolutely AMAZING food! Breakfast burrito is out of this world. Keep the kalua pork, don’t change it for a “breakfast” meat. French toast will leave you speechless and depressed when it’s gone. If ya can’t tell, this place is amazing. It’s a must while you’re in Hanalei!!

Wonderfully awesome and of course Delicious. The Garlic Shrimp are so aromatic you have to order them, the Katsu Chicken was the tastiest I've ever had IMO. And the Kalua Pork Burrito was full juicy goodness. It's a definite stop for true Kauai Island food! Overall, Top notch food ✅️ Great atmosphere ✅️ And Great service ✅️

Just okay. The coffee isn't very good, food was fine. But not worth coming back for.

Talk about waking up delicious. We came here one morning for coffee and I got the Fisherman’s Breakfast. It was the best thing I’ve ever eaten. We came back three times on this single week long trip. My partner got the coconut shrimp and it was beyond incredible. They have incredible food, incredible coffees and lattes and a cute gift shop. They even have a grab and go cooler. Incredible!

Fisherman's breakfast was incredible. The kalua pork burrito was also very good, with crispy hashbrowns inside the burrito. Would definitely eat here again, super nice, very cool store with fun trinkets for sale, and delicious food. Very limited indoor seating (3 tables) so plan for take out or sitting outside at a public picnic area. Restrooms are across the street at the Hanalei Market.

Best food I've had on the island so far, and very large portions- we all have left overs for lunch!

This is not a cafe. It's a food truck in a building. No one serves you food. It's basically all take out. They eliminated all but two tables and filled the place with souvenirs on toolboxes. Is it a food place or a souvenir shop? Food was extremely greasy and almost inedible. Staff acted like they had better things to do than take our order even though there was no one else there. Not friendly at all. One of the staff members had a dog in the back where food would be prepared. We miss the quaint little hole in the wall that was the Wake Up Cafe. It had charm, history, and much friendlier staff, and much better food.

Worst food of our entire trip to Kauai. Eggs tasted like that were cooked in the grease. Churro French Toast was hard and greasy like it was deep fried in old oil. Staff was not friendly at all. We were having a hard time reading the menu due to the colors and formatting they used. The staff did not like that we were taking so long even though there was no one behind us. The owner has done away with almost all of the seating inside and filling it with cheap nick-nacks. Really loved this place when it was WakeUp Cafe, won't be going back now that the new owners have ruined it.

The best local Hawaiian food we found on the island. Quick service and great view from the balcony. Do not miss!

Hands down the best brunch/breakfast/lunch we had the whole trip. Great friendly staff too it was excellent. My son is forcing me to also add that it is the “churro French toast” is the best French toast he has ever had. (Careful when they warn you about the size… it’s huuuuuuge!) Definitely eating here every day for the rest of the trip and ever trip in the future!

Best meal since we’ve been here! We had the katsu chicken and garlic shrimp. The flavors were so delicious. And the rice- perfection. I wish we could buy the macaroni salad by the gallon. We will be going back sev times before we leave.
