Beware they do not open at their start time : 7am I arrived and waited for 25 min and no one showed up. Poor way to run a business, with unreliable operating times.
Adorable little shop! Very friendly barista/owner and you can get amazing tacos as well. Can’t beat the view of the mountains and waterfalls. Definitely stop by!!

Food okay , food and delivery was disaster... food wasn't sealed completely, paper bag broke down ... terrible .. okay food . Not better Than neighbors. Attitude and customer relationships , I could see the person taking orders knew other people that was a smile and good attitude with me 0. I would not go there again .

My husband & I ordered coffee here 2 days in a row. Yesterday we ordered cold coffees. They were delicious, and the barista was really pleasant. Today, before I realized that there was a different barista working, we decided to try ordering flat white espressos. Let’s just say we won’t be doing that again!!
horrible service do not come here and waste your money. the waitress was the rudest person i have met here in Hawaii. the food was good, but i would not recommend coming here if you want good service. other people said the service is bad, it’s true. this is not a “fake review.”
The iced coffee and fisherman's breakfast bagel we had was pretty good. But we had to wait outside which was weird. We also asked for some water and was told they only sell bottled water when water is usually a free courtesy. Also was told they were out of lids for our iced coffee which was annoying because I was trying not to spill it the whole time. This was the only cafe on island we had these issues with in our entire 8 day stay--and we visited many of them--so no excuses!
A go to for me! Offers sweet and savory options with generous portions. Burritos contain tater tots which is amazing. A cute shop with witty niknaks for your trip back home to remember your time in Hanalei. Mahalo
Best breakfast I've ever had. So good we ate there twice! Churro French toast and pork breakfast tacos. Try these for sure!
This old location has been rejuvenated with fresh flavors! New chef, new menu! Boasts a classic coffee bar for all your caffeine needs 7 days a week. As well as inventive & delicious entrees.
Some of the best food my husband and I had on the entire island! We stopped by for breakfast on a quiet Monday morning and we loved our food so much that we came back the same day for lunch. We had the churro French toast (very sweet but very delicious) and kalua burrito for breakfast and had a tempura ono plate lunch. Everything was so flavorful and cooked perfectly - if we weren't leaving the island soon we'd be back for more!
This place showed so much Aloha, friendly crew and the most Delicious food I have ever had! They have awesome specials everyday and out of this world sause! Highly recommend this place!
This is a walk-up and order cafe, with tables outside. The coffees, juice, and meals are delicious and freshly made. The people are friendly and very helpful. We loved it!
We went here twice on our week trip to Kauai! Food and coffee was great, staff were friendly and everything came out quick! :)
BEST BREAKFAST BURRITO IN THE WORLD And it’s in paradise. The Kailua pork burrito is phenomenal. Lots of meat and stuffed with goodness. Make sure to get the hot spice to kick it up a bit. Staff super friendly.
Conflicted about the review. Some of the friendliest people, some great items for sale, and the best veggie breakfast burrito I've ever had. But, the worst coffee our group has ever had.
There are plenty of places to spend your hard earned money, don’t waste it on this place. I cannot state this enough THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE! I’m an ER doctor and thought I would finally be able to grab some breakfast before an upcoming nightmare double shift. Stopped by for a quick mental break and some nourishment and I am incredibly sorry that I did. I’ve never been treated so disrespectfully and with such disregard as I did at Hanalei Wake Up Cafe. I’ve lived on the island for almost 1 year and have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt— The staff is so rude it’s apparent that they don’t want our business. The food isn’t terrible but mediocre at best. You can find better food elsewhere... without dealing with ego’s and attitudes.
Amazing breakfast and super friendly staff! Cute shop as well. First day in Kauai for our wedding/honeymoon and off to a great start. Will be back!
We got the veggie burrito and the fisherman’s breakfast! It was incredibly delicious! There’s a bit of a wait but that’s because we went on a Monday when many other places in the area aren’t open. The staff was kind and helpful. I’d highly recommend this place.
