We rented the roots for our graduation party. It was great! We listened to music and had karaoke. And supplied our own food.
Very poor service. Barista had very little knowledge of what's going on. Would not recommend and will not go back
Very friendly workers here. We got to watch the whole process as someone was being trained and it was awesome. Maple cinnamon chai was absolutely delicious. My husband had a latte with peanut butter and cinnamon and it was very good. Everything here was very nice and clean and well kept. Highly recommend is you’re looking for a healthier option to warm your soul in the morning.
Such a cute and relaxing coffee shop! The lavender white chocolate oat milk latte was delicious. I would definitely visit again.
Coffee was good but it was way too slow. People who came later got their orders earlier than us. After a while, the coffee finally arrived. It took about 20 or 25 minutes to make three coffee. But there was no apology for that.
Incredible coffee. The person serving was an expert at it! 10/10 also the atmosphere has great vibes! Would recommend to anyone!
Cool spot, great people. The coffee was spot on, the atmosphere is really cool. We checked out the speakeasy and venue downstairs and will definitely be coming back - great gem and so glad we stopped in!
My wife and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Canopy and the Roots and it was an incredible experience. We both live in Nashville so we didn’t have the chance to even visit the venue but Brandon was there every step of the way to ensure us that Canopy and the Roots met our expectations/vision for the rehearsal. He even walked me through the entire venue on FaceTime. Top notch customer service and would recommend this venue to anyone looking to host a large group gathering.
Small place just right next to a theater. Coffee is great, interior is greater. Barista was also very kind. I went there with my furry baby. She was allowed to sit at the patio place. Thank you so much for that.
While visiting we tried 2 items from the suggested list. A PB+Honey cold brew and the maple cinnamon chai iced latte. The PB+Honey flavors were very aromatic but not too sweet. It was a perfect balance. The chai was on the sweeter side but the spice balanced it out really well. The downstairs was so neat too!
Dahlonega has a real GOLDMINE here. I couldn't help myself haha. All jokes aside, this is such a cool, vibey place owned by great people who have built a labor of love and is a fantastic room to discover and enjoy music and cocktails. The chai tea was great, as well as the smoked vanilla bourbon and cherry. I can't wait to come back.
Superb room for listening to great music. The owners are so hospitable. They have created a great space that’s a huge asset to Dahlonega. We enjoyed our night there so much. Will definitely be back!!

The workers were so nice and helpful! Hosting events can be overwhelming, especially an entire sorority, but it did not phase them and they were so great!
We hosted a New Year’s Eve party / Wedding Reception here! Overall the space is cute and the owners were nice. Communication was pretty good. Their drinks were great and guests enjoyed them and the space was awesome for our guests. They provided 7 cocktail tables some with chairs which added seating for our guests and they communicated with our dj to get him set up in the space. Only issue was we wished the bathroom was cleaner and nicely decorated upstairs, when we arrived for set up for our event there was blood on the bathroom sink upstairs, we didn’t know what from so we cleaned it so our guests wouldn’t see it. Overall our event went as planned and our guests had a great time and we will be back for our usual coffee orders!

We just had a Christmas party at Canopy + the Roots and we loved it!! Brandon, the owner was awesome to work with and helped make sure we had everything we needed. The coffees and drinks from the bar were wonderful.They make their own with some of their homemade syrups and they were amazing. Everyone at the party loved the atmosphere and location. What better place to have a Christmas party than in a Hallmark Christmas town! If you are looking for a venue for a party or just a delicious cup of coffee this is most definitely the place to go.
We hosted a baby shower in the “green room”. It was the perfect space for our small party. The event coordinator, Tim, did a fantastic job of making sure our needs were taken care of throughout the event and quickly attended to any requests made. Communication with the staff and owner was efficient and fluid. The coffee is fantastic as well! Love the whole scene and look forward to a date night at one of their weekend events soon! Highly recommend for a simple cup of Joe, weekend date, or hosting an event!
I booked Canopy + The Roots at the suggestion of a caterer for a post wedding brunch for my daughter and son-in-law. I live in another state so was not familiar with Dahlonega. Brandon was great to work with. He explained the optional locations available and was timely on sending me the contact. The space rental was very reasonable. On the day of the event, the space was set up as agreed. I brought wooden tokens so guests could order coffee drinks and I would settle the bill at the end. Patrick was our barista. He was knowledgeable and made one mean autumn spice latte! In the end, the event went without a hitch. The guests were able to get one last hug from the bride and groom before they left for their honeymoon. I would highly recommend Canopy + The Roots as a venue for your next event. I will definitely be back for a latte the next time I am in beautiful Dahlonega.
My mom and I enjoyed a Take This Comedy show, which was really fun. The two-story venue is a beautiful space, and the staff is friendly. Holly, the owner, gave us some recommendations of other places to check out during our stay in Dahlonega. All and all, it was a great experience.
