Great place for lunch. I only wish they would change their menu more often.

Wonderful, fresh food with a focus on local purveyors. The menu is concise but thoughtful; there was something for everyone in our group. Everything was perfectly prepared and just so tasty. We sat out on the patio which is really lovely and has a great vibe. When the bill came I had to check it several times because the total seemed too low for the number of people in our party and the amount of food we ordered. Seriously great value. This is easily my new favorite in the area and I can’t wait to visit again and try the cocktails. PS Don’t skip dessert - the homemade cakes are chef’s kiss!

As a small business owner, I love and hate Google reviews. Most are on point but some reviews are ridiculous and have no idea the harm they are causing with a poor review. The fact that anyone would give this lovely and thoughtful establishment anything other than a 4 or 5 star review is just silly. It’s a lovingly remodeled building in downtown Clayton, Ga. It’s family owned and they have made great effort to make it cozy and welcoming. The back patio is cool on a hot day and dog friendly. The food was prepared with care (please don’t complain if it takes 15-20 minutes to make your meal by hand) and was delicious and well presented. The service was excellent- familiar and warm. We stumbled in near closing after our truck broke down. They fed us, told us to take our time, and the waitress even offered us a ride home. Please support this wonderful business and appreciate when others serve you with effort and care. It’s so hard to make a business run well, but they are doing a great job in this cafe.

I wish that I could give a zero. I understand a busy holiday lunch crowd. What I don’t understand is after waiting close to 40 minutes for a salad, a grilled cheese and a cup of soup and pointing out that people seated well after we had placed our order were getting their food, the waitress chided that our order was slower because of the grilled cheese. Then after being assured that our order was coming out soon….then being assured by another employee that we had not even spoken to that orders are filled as submitted, our waitress came to our table to apologize that she had failed to submit our order. Seriously? When a couple has waited on their food for 40 minutes and is then told that the kitchen did not have the order…well, there is not any service recovery to fix that. And, if when I first pointed out that I saw two tables of people seated after us get their food the staff had not man-splaned reasons for the slow service before actually trying to expedite our order…there MAY have been some forgiveness. (And…it was two women did the man-splaning. They had the tone perfect.)

First, the people who run the restaurant are lovely. They are a sincere couple. Ultimately there are three issues with this restaurant - 1) the service is so sadly slow. Wait times can exceed more than one should ever wait 2) the food - although quality - is overpriced. and lastly 3) Its just plainly overhyped. I know that this may not come off as a positive review, because the people are very genuine who run this restaurant. But its very overhyped. If you're visiting town I would save yourself the trouble.

Haven’t been here in over a year with Covid , etc. looking forward to the new options and new decor. Lunch time on a holiday…gonna be busy. Wait with rain was a little long so ordered to go. Cale Quick. It was Yum! Just sad we couldn’t relax and enjoy a cocktail or cold beer….even had part of my order missing and they ran up the street to get it to me! Kudos!👍 Curry wrap, watermelon salad…very good….again , just a Little frustrating on the seating outdoor option but “se la vie” maybe Next time so were not eating in the car 😵‍💫 Looking for a 5 star time then

Very fresh and tasty food and friendly service. Portions were the perfect size and I appreciated all the vegetarian and non-alcoholic options. Nice place to stop on the way from the Smokies to Atlanta.

A hidden gem ! By far the most delicious place I’ve been in a long time. I’ve been 3x this week just because their food was incredible and service was over the top! Jill and Scott the owners were so welcoming and all the staff including Jenai who waited on me each day with a smile. This gem just felt like home and Jill will be a long time friend. They have farm 2 table cocktails and Bellini Flights! What!?! Fantastic surprise. Highly recommended. I will be back EVERY time I’m here. Your missing out if you haven’t tried Grapes and Beans.

Our last visit here was our second time stopping by. We love their back outdoor patio, which is dog friendly. Nice and shady and very cute atmosphere. The waitstaff are always very friendly. The pimento cheese appetizer is amazing. The drinks were also very good. Every dish we have gotten from here has always been very good. We met the owner last time we were here. Great people. Highly recommend stopping in.

We stopped by on our way out of town and I'm so glad we did! The food was great and we really enjoyed the outdoor seating (the blankets provided for those who got chilly were a nice touch). The staff was also very friendly which was not my experience at other restaurants in Clayton. My wife was craving coffee since our morning had been consumed cleaning the VRBO cabin for departure. They had both half-&-half for her coffee and oat milk for mine (place is very vegan friendly). My veggie pita (veganized) was delicious. I upgraded the side dish to the bowl of tomato soup and it was perfect in both taste and thickness. It was almost confiscated by my wife and daughter so they could dunk their sandwiches. Wife had the G & B (turkey on Ciabatta) and daughter had grilled cheese - both of which were quickly devoured. My son had the chicken gyro which I never actually saw since he ate it so quickly. Dessert was the salted caramel cake. Based on the comments from the family it might have been the best part of the meal... and that's saying something since everything else was so good. We'll definitely be back!

My favorite lunch spot. I get the twisted Ruben every time. Love the carrot cake when it’s available! My pup always appreciates the warm welcome on the patio

The food is all made in house. The service, food, and atmosphere is excellent. The owner was incredibly nice and makes all the food in house.
