They have the best SICILIAN lasagna in town. Food is made by real Italians; stop by. you will be surprised as I was. Definitely stop by again. Ciao

I use to stop in this little gem almost weekly as I’m impressed by the cleaning and the order of this place. I found it one day that I was in search of a good Italian breakfast and Eleonora made my day… I went there several times and I tried most of her lunch menu and I found everything always fresh and tasty beyond abundant. Good job!

I could hear a rat running through the air conditioning, duct! The food was overpriced and extremely mediocre. I ordered a bagel with lox. I asked for no onions or no capers they put extra onion and extra capers and after waiting 20 minutes for that bagel, I started looking around and the gentleman came over to me who worked there and asked me what my problem was very directly and rudely and I said there is no problem. I am just waiting for my food. It has been 20 minutes. Will it be soon I have to return back to the courthouse for jury duty and he huffed at me and slung bagel onto my table. This is supposed to be high end, Italian coffee, and fine lunch plates. The other girls I came with ordered a salad which was so small for $10. It barely covered the plate and was such a thin layer of lettuce. It looks like a side salad the other girl ordered a Caprese sandwich. It had no basil the tomatoes were brown and squishy, and the mozzarella was room temperature and did not taste good. She also asked for it to go, and they did not give it to her. and refused to put it into a to go container while she waited for her sandwich. She sat at the bar and the gentleman who was rude to me, told her that no one was allowed to sit there even though there were plenty of chairs at this bar why would you have chairs? If you’re not allowed to sit I don’t know , I just found it to be very disorganized very mediocre and not very nice of the staff. Also the fact that you can hear a rat scurrying in the air conditioning doctor really killed the mood. They really should be reported to the health department. It looked extremely unsanitary. I did not see them wearing gloves preparing the food. They did not wash their hands. I didn’t even want to touch my lunch.

I love this place! Delicious sandwiches on top of authentic Italian coffee. The proprietors are generous hosts. You feel like guests in their home. My favorite sandwich on the menu is the Cinque Terre, named for a town or section of Italy. The lasagna is also delicious, as is their southwest sandwich. My favorite drink is the Nutella Latte!!

I love the options and the Italian style of service and hospitality. It can also be a great place to come and study whenever the pace is a little bit lower. Give them a try. You will love the options.

We had the chicken salad and Cuban sandwich along with a Iced Cappuccino and Iced Nutella Latte. All delicious! Also the proprietors were wonderfully personable. Highly recommend this little local establishment in downtown Sarasota.

Needed a late lunch and dropped in knowing nothing about the place. Best Cuban sandwich I ever had. Better than Columbia. House cooked roast pork tenderloin. Juicy and cut thick, not thin dried out pieces. Pressed to perfection. My wife had Caprese panini. Fresh “real” mozzarella cheese sliced to order from a huge hunk that was kept moist in saltwater, not the tasteless and dried out slices found in too many such sandwiches. A husband and wife with young son helping out were delightful - clearly recent arrivals from Italy with charming accents who were eager to please. After we finished, i decided to see what else they had and noticed a couple of sfogliatelle in the case, so I asked wife where she got them and she told me she baked them. I asked for 1 to go, but she said because it was end of day, she would sell me both for $5. Took them home and wow! I grew up in an Italian neighborhood in NYC and I know sfogliatelle. They were terrific. Cracking crunchy outside, soft and pillowy and full of ricotta cheese inside. We had our dog with us and the wife came out with our lunch, she asked the dog’s name. His name is Mo, which is short for Giacomo Puccini. She got a kick out of that and mentioned that her mother was an opera singer who sang Puccini at La Scala in Milan. Highly recommend this place. I’ll be back often for breakfast and lunch.
