The food portions are worth the money. However, the service could’ve been friendlier. Maybe they should direct those who look lost or are first time customers. One employee was a bit aggressive in their approach but the food was good.

Loooved this little place! Super cozy and had an amazing experience. They made me a frozen hot chocolate with espresso and it was sooo tasty. My fiancé and I thoroughly enjoyed our food as well. 10/10 would return!! Also, GET THE BLT WITH ROSEMARY BREAD. You won't regret it 💕

Awesome breakfast sandwich. Green tea by the pot was a bargain. One of the only fully shaded patios downtown. Also great that they chase the loiterers beggers off the property as well.

Very cozy coffee shop! It's on the expensive side, $7 for an iced coffee w/o syrup. But, the coffee is delicious and their Monin syrup selection is incredible. I didn't even know Monin sold a candy corn flavor?? Sausage egg and cheese was incredible and we loved sitting in the back of the building next to the funky alien DJ portrait on the wall.

A local staple and favorite, this little coffee shop is somewhat of an open secret for really good and creative coffees and teas. I've spent many days and evenings in their patio area catching up with friends, doing work on my laptop, or just enjoying the day. They've got cozy indoor seating, a relaxing and shaded outdoor patio, good music, and even board games for you and your friends. A perfect little date spot, and/or for starting your downtown outing with friends. And being in the Sun Center, it remains a staple to hit on your way to Boca Fiesta, the Hippodrome, Palomino, Liquid Ginger, or the many other great spots that sit right around it. If you know, you know.

Maude's Cafe serves up an absolutely delicious chocolate cheesecake. The rich chocolate flavor is balanced perfectly with the creamy cheesecake, making for an indulgent dessert that will leave you feeling satisfied without feeling overly full. The texture of the cheesecake is also spot on, with a creamy, velvety smoothness that melts in your mouth. The Ice Chai Latte is another great offering at Maude's Cafe. The chai flavor is strong and authentic, and the iced version is perfect for a hot summer day. The latte is well-balanced and not too sweet, making it a refreshing and satisfying pick-me-up. Overall, Maude's Cafe is definitely worth a visit for the chocolate cheesecake and Ice Chai Latte alone.

After visiting 9 local Gainesville coffee shops, I finally picked my favorite....MAUDES! I haven't had an espresso drink there I disliked thus far. In fact, I requested a pound of the espresso beans they use for Christmas gifts! The staff is friendly and accommodating, even when I take a year choosing my coffee of the day. 😆 Amber is always up for a quick convo, even within minutes of their closing. My son loves the Turkey BLT and the Signature Maudes milkshake. Amber makes a delicious gingerbread latte with a triple shot at 8pm!🥰🤣

Great food, locally brewed coffee, and baked goods all rolled into one with caring staff to top it off. The atmosphere of a local coffee shop is unbeatable here

Eh, I like the atmosphere and the food is decent but attentiveness not so much. I came in for a pickup order and there were two clerks working. Neither of them said a word to me. I figured the food wasn't ready yet so I stuck around for about ten minutes. Finally, one of them asked if I needed something. I said I was there for a pickup. It turns out the food was ready the whole time.

The food we got was very disappointing...overpriced and extremely small portions. The cappuccinos are good. Internet is reliable, music is pleasant. Good for studying. Eat somewhere else.

The coffee and food are subpar as well as overpriced. Not to mention the staff is rude. Nice location and can be a good environment to do work, however, the overall quality has gotten much worse over the years.

Very friendly staff, and the restaurant offers board games to play, along with sanitizing wipes. Beautiful patio seating, as well as plenty of room indoors. The Buffalo chicken quesadilla was stuffed with cheese and tasty, but I had to open it to verify there was actually any chicken. The side veggies consisted of one tiny piece of lettuce, about 6 pieces of diced red onion, and about a teaspoon or less of diced tomatoes, so it was garnish, not a side. A random homeless guy (one of at least 6 I saw) was walking around screaming at no one in particular, and after I accidentally made eye contact with him, he started wandering my way, so I left without finishing my food. I wasn't about to have a pointless, unpleasant encounter with an angry and presumably mentally ill man after a long day at work. So sad he isn't receiving treatment. Sketchy vibe, and I'm surprised the city ignores it so entirely.

Guys their bagels are so mid and they are overpriced. Literally gave me the bagel plain and gave me philadelphia cream cheese in a container to put on myself…lets be real cmon now.

Atmosphere super cute. Gagged on the iced coffee. Threw it away. Whom ever made it along with the syrup sweet tea...please read how to follow recipes. Avacado toast on the salty side but I ate it.

There is no way not to absolutely adore this quaint coffee shop. It's located in the Sun Center Easr adjacent to Gainesville's historic Hypodrome Theatre. It's across the street from Starbucks which is nationally known. But keep strolling past that famous place if you want better food, coffee and ambiance. Even the prices are better. I purchased coffee and multiple pastries last night so when I wake up early the next morning I'll be able to sit on my terrace overlooking Maude's and relax knowing I'm lucky to have shopped there. Great food, delightful wait staff and a cozy interior that will make you want to sit and relax.

This is a cute and cozy coffee shop. There are a variety of coffees here to choose from. If you visit Downtown Gainesville, you can surely give this coffee place a try. Outdoor seating is also available.

Food was delicious. Got two breakfast sandwiches. Maude’s coffee was splendid. Felt like the portion sizes were a bit small. A little over priced. Overall good experience.

First time going to Maude’s and I wanted to like it. However, we had a bad experience with an employee there. We sat down at a table to eat outside when a few minutes later an employee comes out and starts to be aggressive towards us. He yells at us for moving a table outside (which we did not do it was like that when we got there). He continues to be aggressive and tell us that we need to move. When I tell him that the table was like that when we got there he says “well guess you have to pay for someone else’s sins” ???? Wouldn’t have been a problem if he asked us kindly to move it. I would’ve happily agreed. Not going back

1 Croissant and 1 quiche almost 19 dollars. Not big portions at all. Cool shop and awesome staff but the prices and portions are a little out of whack for me.
