Great food and atmosphere! The flan was over the top . Looking forward to our next visit!

Captain Morgan’s is perhaps the best restaurant in Everglades City. It’s a family run restaurant with many great Cuban dishes. I can’t recommend them highly enough. Great food, superb service and reasonably priced. Our party of 4 had dinner there tonight and we’re going back tomorrow!

Fantastic family owned restaurant with great food, service and atmosphere. Menu has a great assortment of fantastic Cuban dishes, and adjoining ice cream and coffee shop are a wonderful addition.

We were served this afternoon by Andreas who is currently be trained. The food was definitely overpriced but quality was okay. Our big issue this afternoon was the huge crisis of splitting our check (apparently). Maggie (another server and mother of our server) walked over to yell at her son for splitting our check and aggressively told him “don’t do this to me again!” Apparently they have a policy of not splitting checks when they are busy. They were not busy at ALL today. We tried to ask why and we’re rudely shut down and cussed out by Maggie. It’s is disgustingly unprofessional to reprimand your son in front of us and be so rude to us for asking to SPLIT A CHECK. I asked for her name and said we’d be leaving a review and she rushed over to get in our faces and let us know she “doesn’t feel bad for enforcing policy”. UNBELIEVABLE. All we wanted was a nice meal after our boat tour, gigantic disappointment. STAY AWAY. In response to their blantanly untrue reply: the restaurant was NOT busy AT ALL. This is the person who caused these issues today. Your son did not ask to come to the table: you marched over and HOLLERED at him before he spoke one word. He was going to split the check before you did that. Do not lie to save face. We did nothing before you came at us so aggressively. We were in the middle of leaving and told you we would be leaving a poor review when you start yelling we needed to leave. Purse was already in hand and had stood up. Had you politely let us know the policy, we would have complied. And we DID. We paid with the one check, and when you heard us say we would mention you in our review you charged at us. Insane.

Very tasty food with very kind service

Wir waren zweimal phantastisch Fisch, wie auch Meeresfrüchte essen… (Captain Signature Seafood Enchilado und Sailor backed whole Red Snapper) hochwertig, alles frisch, Preis-Leistung hervorragend! Riesige Portionen bzw. kompletter Fisch. Geschmacklich spitzenmässig - wir waren total begeistert. Vielen Dank auch für den sehr sympathischen und tollen Service. LG Manuela und Michael

Stumbled upon the town’s newest local spot after they had already closed for the night, and the owners, Morgan (he is also the chef!) and Magy (she is Morgan’s wife!) who fully operate the restaurant together, insisted on inviting me and my boyfriend inside where they then prepared us the couple of steaks they had left (the most delicious steak palomilla with white rice and sweet plantains!!), poured us some drinks and sat and talked the night away with us. They were so friendly and welcoming, we felt like locals! There is a little ice cream shop within the restaurant that’s adorable and a separate room for the salad bar. The place is beautiful and one of a kind, with the sweetest owners and most delicious palomilla 😋

Living in Davie, my wife and me spend most of our weekends in the Fakahatchee or Big Cypress, often then staying for dinner in Everglades City. This time we gave this new restaurant a try and didn't regret at all. This cuban-latin inspired restaurant is a great addition to Everglades City, we enjoyed every minute. Food and service was excellent and they have a very good variety. They also have local crafts beer (riptide) on tap and their two IPAs are just great and come perfectly served with a nice foam. And to top it all, they have proper cafecito, cortadito, cafe con leche and colada, done the right way (maybe standard in Miami but certainly not in the Everglades) and you can get fabulous homemade rum flan with it. We will come back!

Great food and Great People!! The baked Snapper is amazing! Pork is so tender and juicy! So nicely decorated and clean!

Really enjoyed my visit to Captian Morgans. Staff was very nice and attentive and made great recomendations. Had the whole snapper which was cooked perfectly and delicious. Also had the Shrimp Enchilado and the sauce was amazing. Next time Ill have to have the espresso as it smelled amazing. Will have to stop back next time I am in EGC.

Great service! I highly recommend their ceviche. And no better way to end the meal than a delicious Cuban coffee.

Este restaurante es realmente fantástico y se come muy rico volveremos … la atención es fantástica fuimos un poco tarde pero nos atendieron igual ofreciéndonos que nos quedáramos cuando ellos estaban cerrando el restaurante muy cordial y amigable lo recomiendo se come muy rico

I can’t say enough great things about this restaurant! We loved the shrimp tostones and the grouper sandwich- literally the best grouper sandwich I’ve ever had. Maggie was so kind and considerate, and her recommendations were on point. I am counting down the days until we come back to Everglades City, and when we do this is the first restaurant we will go to!

Excellent-highly recommend. We tried gator bites delicious and they do not taste like chicken. Amazing black bean soup. The flan and coconut pineapple ice cream were to die for…

Maggie’s seafood was Awesome!! We stopped because it was the best kept-up & attractive building in town. We ordered the Snapper & Pork & it fed 3 of us. Service was excellent & the food came fast & very tasty.

I highly recommend this restaurant. As a table, we tasted all dishes. All were excellent. I highly recommend!

Wow! If you are south of Naples, this is a MUST for exquisite shrimp ceviche and roast pork on fried plantains. Clean, terrific service and atmosphere right in Everglades City. Cuban cuisine is amazing…..the best flan I’ve ever had
