My first time here. Having my dog groomed at PetCo directly across the street. These folks are throwin’ down up in here! Good coffee, great food, and friendly service! A great place to hunker down for a few hours.
How do you "rate" Tynan? It's in its own category. Its own greater entity. Tynan provides. It nurtures. Enlightens. It exists as the midway station between life, and more life. To give it a number, to quantitfy it, would require Tynan to be comprehensible. It's bigger than that. It's greater than that. The only real truth I can say about Tynan is that it is there. Always.
Creative coffee and baked good selection, vegan options, reasonably quiet atmosphere. I’ve been there twice and everything is good, service is friendly and efficient. The only thing keeping them from being five stars is the torn upholstery. Otherwise a great place!

Such a great stop on my way to brunch. Conveniently located just outside the West exit of Columbia Heights metro. Healthy options including beetroot latte!
They have a lot of interesting drinks to try out if you're feeling adventurous, but even if you're down for the standard vibe this place does it well despite being in a somewhat hectic location. Their sandwiches are top tier great, but most people looking for good food come here for their waffles. I'm a coffee dude and the manager (owner?) answered everything I asked and was very helpful.
I haven't had service this good... ever. 1000% best coffee shop. Food and coffee was fantastic. Bonus for having gluten free options.
I like this place - but it’s not recommended service if it’s not optional. Adding 3$ to sandwich to go order is pretty questionable. Won’t be returning.

Ancho chile was unique and pretty good! Dirty chai was good but quite sweet
This is my go to coffee shop for the past year. Everything is delicious here including their cold brew, quiche, sandwiches, and salads.
Price is not as posted since now tipping gets added automatically onto the receipt? Recommended service fee? If anything just change the menu prices and add them onto the prices… I used to be able to choose what amount or if I wanted to tip but not anymore. Plus I’m not dining in… I came to the store and waited.
My place to go for daily coffee. The owner and team working there are wonderful, the coffee excellent and good pastries and sandwiches made on site.

Food came faster than I anticipated and was still delicious. Expensive but worth it.
This place has my favorite lattes/mochas. I think it’s because of the textured milk. Their seasonal honey lavender latte was fantastic — sweet but not sickeningly so. Their ancho chili mocha has the exact right amount of spice. Unfortunately though, these don’t translate to their iced coffee counterparts. If you want a flavored drink, order it hot, as the flavoring separates and you can taste powdered cinnamon (or whatever it is) when served cold. Great selection of pastries including bullfrog bagels. This is always where I go for a treat.
