So happy to live near LFS! They make lovely pastries and sandwiches, and are also really fun and great people. Their seasonal offerings are always great. Very solid coffee drinks, highly recommend the olive oil mocha!
Get the savory breakfast sandwich, you will not be sorry.
Little Food Studio is 100% my favorite coffee shop in DC, no contest. I come here most mornings of the week, mostly because I am unable to resist the siren song of a cherry scone and a delicious olive oil mocha. The scones are some of the best I’ve had in my life! Buttery, moist, and still warm. Also everyone who works here is amazing—funny, kind, and culinarily talented. I love getting to hang out here as part of my morning routine. If you haven’t been here, go now! Try some of the seasonal specials/syrups! Grab a scone! You won’t regret it 😉
Always my favorite neighborhood lunch spot! The staff is the just the best and welcoming, and the food is great!
Visionary baked goods. The cherry-balsamic scone will make you see through time. The guava-cheese turnover reminds me of a delicious bite of Brazil, where I lived for a while. Everything I've tried here is fantastic. Add to all that the kind, funny, and engaged service and the place is pretty much perfect. Dog friendly, too! Keep up the wonderful work!
Delicious sausage roll and latte, and super friendly staff! Such a great Friday morning treat - will definitely be back to try the other pastries, seasonal syrups, and lunch items!
Little food studios is the favorite pastry place, and I can testify that their scones do not disappoint! The outside is very crunchy and the moisture is not gone from the inside! Super satisfying 🤤 The coffee here is exceptional. My favorite place to grab coffee/pastries to go- I look forward to coming here weekly.
The best coffee shop in DC! The owner and everyone who works here are wonderful. The coffee is excellent. I’ve never had baristas that completely understood my order (a cap in a latte cup, dry), and now I have perfect coffee every day. My favorite food here is the seasonal spiced cookie. You must eat it warm! Give chef Chanel all the awards. I also recommend getting catering for your events here. I got a big box of sandwiches and they were perfect for an event. Why go to Starbucks when you could support a local Black and Queer-owned coffee shop.
Amazing food and friendly staff! This place is such a charm of the Petworth neighborhood! Their scones are my favorite in the area.
Lovely cafe with amazing breakfast sandwiches.
My favorite place for coffee - good luck on not buying a baked good..the smell is amazing.
I like their food; my only issue is that they don't do a good job of posting across their platforms when they sell out before their closing hours. I used to live in a nearby neighborhood but no longer do. I was annoyed to come all the way up to Petworth, starving and looking for food only to be told that they only have cookies left. Before heading out I checked Instagram and their website to check if they listed if they were sold out but there was no messaging that they were. I was told that Toast Tab can be used to see if they are sold out by trying to place an order and seeing if the store is closed on Toast Tab that means they are sold out. Until they do a better job of messaging when they are sold out, I won't be going out of my way for their food.
Amazing food! I got the eggplant and burrata salad and it was WONDERFUL! Roasted tomatoes, eggplant, burrata, pickled onions, and arugula, all covered in balsamic glaze. It was truly the best salad I've had all year. They're also woman owned and black owned which is great to support. I will definitely be back to try a sandwich!
Sure, I know how to bake a chocolate chip cookie. I know how to arrange meat and condiments on a nice slice for a sandwich. But I don't know what magic the Little Food Studio team has in their kitchen, because these are the best sandwiches and the best cookies in the neighborhood, hands down, and I have stopped trying to compete. The only reason I would ever bake again is if I needed a cookie on a Monday, when LFS is closed.
Best café au lait in DC that I've found. 5 stars for the café au lait, and the pastries. 4 stars for the size of the shop (and they run out of supplies, so you've got to go early).
Delicious pastries and sandwiches! I love the scones, sausage rolls and focaccia sandwiches. Everything is fresh and delicious. This tiny gem packs a punch! And, always friendly service. Always!
I visit little foods at minimum twice a week! It is the most loveliest establishment w/ an amazing staff and owner who provides welcoming and friendly customer service. The food and beverage options are phenomenal! I really love all three scone selections, the chocolate chip cookie and the veggie sandwiches the best. I’ve fallen in love with their seasonal items such as the tomato soup and the lemon cookies! I always prefer my iced tea w/ a combination of their tasty syrups (basil+mint and honey are my favorite combos). I will highly recommend little foods to infinity + , such a great space w/ fresh and tasty foods/beverages.
So good. For sure the best gluten free scone I’ve ever had, the regular stuff looked really good too, coffee was great. Would go here again and as much as possible. The chef/head baker is truly a genius, have been thinking about it since I ate it a few days ago
Great food, especially the pecorino scone and house made vegan chocolate sauce in the mocha. Also really love the staff and how easy they make the experience, particularly given the small size of the shop.
So glad I tried this spot! We got an iced chai latte and olive oil mocha latte, both of which were on point. The sandwiches are delicious, and a really generous size! The chocolate chip cookie was so good we had to go back and get two more. The service was really friendly, and overall this place has great vibes! Definitely coming back!
