I almost never write reviews but I really hate this coffee shop. They have two outlets for the whole coffee shop. Overpriced and snooty.
My first experience here was bad, but I chalked it up to the barista having a bad day and gave it another chance. Sadly, the second visit was just as bad - for additional reasons than the first visit. On my first visit, the barista was rude and unhelpful. Again, he could have been having a bad day, but he was unwelcoming. Side note, the place is spacious and would be great to work from, but there's no wifi. The second time around, my pastry was stale and my drink was a scam. Don't get the draft drinks. Once (what I'm guessing was) the nitro foam settled, the cup was barely a third full. So I paid $6 for air and a couple sips. Once again the baristas were unhelpful and unwelcoming.
Really nice space, overpriced coffee ☕️. Thankfully they reintroduced reusable cups
Such an all around great spot! You gotta try the oat dark and tan cold brew or the dirty chai cold brew. Pour overs are done with care (container is heated before coffee is poured in) and staff is friendly. Several tables with 2 tiny stools and/or benches. 3 or 4 high tops inside with more seats outside when it's warmer. Bathrooms aren't super clean.
Had an amazing experience on this blustery Friday evening! The staff really is what made my experience.
Good selection of coffees nicely brewed.
Pros: Decently Priced Coffee. Open Space. Cons: tons of flies, no Wi-Fi, burnt/bitter espresso, terrible pastry selection, few outlets. I understand the push for “no Wi-Fi” at coffee shops to set a certain type of vibe of community and being in the moment. But this place doesn’t not have that vibe… it just doesn’t have Wi-Fi. If I had to go here or a 7-11, I’d go to the 7-11.
A good place to have a coffee Nice environment
Great space. Coffee is pretty inconsistent.
Coffee was good and atmosphere was nice - fairly empty at 3pm on a random Thursday. No wifi though which is surprising considering it’s a coffee shop and only a few power outlets available if you need to plug in a laptop or charge a phone.
Excellent. Jasmine is such a delight. Thank you for making La Colombe a safe and comfortable space.
Good coffee and good croissants, nice place for work
No WIFI offered no plugs to charge the computer.
The city mask mandate has been lifted. Case rates are low. Yet walked into colombe and they insisted on wearing a mask, then you sit down and take off your mask for the remainder of your stay. Given the extremely high vaccination rate of their clientele and the fact that you just take your mask off once you sit down, this strikes me as pretty close to pure theater. I don't like theater. I went to Wydown down the street because they aren't so absurd.
Huge place and nice setting. However, some key issues make this spot not appealing: -food offer is very poor and often sold out early in the morning -no Wi-Fi …
This place is pretty good for a local chain. The coffee was good. the seating was okay, no where comfy to sit, more of a work type of coffee shop, not a be cozy and read coffee shop. overall i enjoyed my experience
Not sure what the point of a coffee shop is in 2022 without wifi. Why do people drink coffee before work ? Yes the taste is especially important but in general coffee became great because it's an addiction people use to be productive most of the time.
The coffee tasted smooth. It was a bit pricey for a coffee. It is very spacious inside to work and relax. Kind of hidden from the main 14th st, it on the opposite side of the 7-11.
The quality of coffee is excelent
This La Colombe grabbed a huge space in a key spot in the city, and ample seating makes it a good place to work for a few hours (though there aren't any obvious outlets for you to stay charge up). The coffee menu is extensive and wide ranging, but tea lovers will be somewhat limited unless they go for leaf. The pastries are decent, and their service is friendly and quick. All in all this is a good spot to have in the neighborhood.
