I stopped going to Starbucks and started making my coffee because of this place. The aroma of the coffee is amazing. I buy whole beans and grind it myself at home. My favorite is the Harrar and Yirigacheffe medium blend, but you can't go wrong with any of the others. I used to brew it in a Mr. Coffee and switched to French press, and the coffee is great. I also make a cold brew with it. When I stop by, I also order and drink. Everyone is pleasant there, and it smells as good as it tastes. Did I mention the aroma 😁

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a coffee shop that served one of the most exquisite lattes I've ever tasted. The coffee was made using Harrar coffee beans (which the shop is named after), and the experience was unforgettable. Harrar coffee beans are known for their unique flavor profile, which includes a distinct fruity and floral aroma. The beans are grown in the eastern region of Ethiopia, and their distinct taste comes from the way they are processed. They are dried with the cherry fruit still attached, giving them a fruity, wine-like taste that is hard to find in other coffee beans. The latte I ordered was perfectly brewed, with just the right amount of milk and foam to balance the flavor of the coffee. In addition to the exceptional coffee, I was also impressed with the friendly service provided by the employee. Overall, I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone who loves coffee and wants to try something truly special. The Harrar coffee beans used in their lattes are a true treat for the taste buds, and the friendly service provided by their employee makes the experience even more enjoyable.

Best coffee in DC, freshly roasted. I recommend trying the dark Harrar. If you prefer drinking coffee at home, consider placing a regular order, which comes with a discount. I order the dark Harrar to use in my espresso machine at home. It took a few tries before I selected the correct ground for my machine. The baklava is also delicious if you are looking for a small snack on the side.

Various flavors of Ethiopian coffee: Harrar, Yirgacheffe, Limu, etc. They roast and brew coffee infront of you. I enjoy the smell of fresh roasted coffee always before sipping my favorite Harrar Coffee. Superb friendly service looks to be the standard!

The best pot of coffee I ever made was a Sidamo roasted here. Freshly roasted, reasonably priced and exquisite taste. The service is friendly and humble and are expert roasters. Get some coffee here! And enjoy it

Coffee bean might be good, but just having batch brew at the ready doesn't do it justice. I do understand why they do that though. They have one person doing 2 people's work. The pastries were decent. I do genuinely hope you guys do well. Cafe business is hard and labor shortage is no joke.

loved the smell of the coffee as I walked in. Service was kind. I got a macchiato and wasn’t a fan of coffee roast, it was too dark for me. If you like dark, definitely go there. .

When I first try the coffee I was thinking maybe a bit to strong. But they recommend to buy a bit lighter roasted. At home a made some cappuccino and it was perfect. I have to say one of the best I tried 😊🫶🏼

These ladies KNOW their coffee, my goodness. My SO is a dedicated patron and loves their cold brew--"velvety smooth" he says. I learned the hard way that the cold brew is a wee bit too caffeinated for me (I'm a weakling when it comes to caffeine), but their iced coffee is delicious. They also have a substantial selection of brewed coffees all with tasting notes--I love the tasting notes!

Coffee is relatively cheap but the water must be made from gold residue $$$. Lovely Ethiopian cafe.

This is an ethiopian women owned cafe! It has such a peaceful and quiet environment inside which is perfect for studying and doing work! I got a decaf americano with oat milk. There is a wide variety of coffees and teas. There are also pastries and ethiopian sambusas!

Stepped in at just the right time to catch the action, as the shop roasts their own beans, and saw them being poured out of the machine! My wife got her double espresso, and I choose the latte. They serve larger cups then most coffee shops, which made me happy . The shop is quaint and beautifully adorned. Giving off a very chill vibe I would have sat and enjoyed my drink looking out the window.

If I could write a love song to Harrar, I would. I loved next to this coffee shop for 5 years and I very single cup of coffee I’ve had since I moved away I’ve compared to Harrar. The light roast will send you soaring through the stars.
