Top coffee, top location, top everything
Great coffee and food in large portions! I bought the fruity pebbles cookie but haven't tried it yet, not doubt it'll be delicious. Overall, it was a bit expensive because of the exchange rate to Australia, but thankfully, I'm travelling for work. 🤷🏼♀️🤤
Excellent coffee and incredibly fresh and tasty lunch.
This upscale coffee place is awesome. The coffee is great, and the pastries are to die for. And the atmosphere-- with comfy chairs and lots of space, is welcoming and relaxing. I ordered a latte and a blueberry muffin, and thoroughly enjoyed them. Really all the pastries and desserts--cookies, scones, etc --look amazing. I'll definitely come back and maybe check out some other For Five Coffee locations. It is pricey, though. My latte and muffin came to $12. Still, it's worth checking out and treating yourself.
Gets the job done but can get quite pricey
The looked amazing, so I got a funfetti birthday cake cookie and it was really good. The coffee was good, but nothing to write home about. My big issue was the food. We got the he Avodaise Egg Benedict and the steak and eggs. The egg was cool to the touch, so they definitely make it either in advance or they had it sit out while making something else. The bacon was somehow burnt and chewy and a lack of flavor, didn’t matter how much Cayenne pepper they put. As for the steak and eggs, the steak was good but the sauce was a bit thick, maybe it’s suppose to be like that. We ordered the eggs over medium but it was solid and way over cooked. So again, maybe they didn’t know how to cooked the eggs or they had it sitting out. The staff were friendly. I will come back for the coffee and atmosphere, but that’s about it.
This is a true gem! Great coffee is almost a given in a high end coffee place. A great salad that runs circles around nearby restaurants was not.. The Manager and well trained staff are professional, friendly accommodating! For example, no fuzz over changing chicken to shrimp in their delicious, fresh and healthy summer salad. Will be coming back!
A nice place for a quick brunch in DC. Cozy environment and tasty food. They change their menu frequently and I just tried their new offerings 3 days ago which were so great!
As someone whos really picky with coffee especially I adore this place! Coffee is great, food delicious and the service is better than in any other cafeteria in the area. Girls Natasha and another latina girl are always warm and welcoming
Excellent, creative food. Music is a bit loud.
Went in to get a coffee and both of the girls in the front were rude and acted like they were being bothered/inconvenienced. In addition to the customer service, this place is unbelievably expensive!! $20 for Avocado toast?!! No protein - just avocado and egg! $7 for a flat white coffee, not even a latte. You can easily spend $30 on the simplest of things here! While I was waiting on my coffee to be made, I browsed the menu a little more and most breakfast sandwiches ranged from $23 to about $27. You can get a full meal from a restaurant for that price. This was my first time here and I definitely won’t be returning. I’ll be interested to see how long this business stays open..
As a someone who also works in Hospitality, I understand that there is a lot of things that can affect your mood, but that is not the reason to be extremely rude to customers. The gentlman who worked today made me never come back to this establishment again. Again, as a fellow Hospitality worker, personal mood and frustrations by any reason can not be directly affecting customers. Very sad and dissap
Food was incredible, it has tons of delicious recipes to choose from. On the other hand, we felt super unwelcome. The guy behind the bar seemed annoyed when I asked for a menu - slowly and silently gesturing to the pile across the bar without even removing his airpods or making eye contact. The food was served really late too, when I went and asked after 25min or so, he unapologetically said ‘they were putting together the food’, without checking with the kitchen staff… In short: great food, rude staff. 🤷🏽♀️
Nice sweet pie bougatsa..
A coworker and I dropped in for coffee and ended up grabbing lunch. Love the space, the vibe, the food options and the pastries but well... I got the Chicken Pesto Burrata sandwich and my coworker got the BLTA. My sandwich was on focaccia which was a poor choice because the weight of the contents made my sandwich fall apart quite quickly. It was good but a disaster to eat. The BLTA came with maple glazed bacon that was burnt. It was a charred and stuck together in a lump that was inedible. We also tried a slice of carrot bundt cake and it was decent but probably not something I would get again. I might go back to try some coffee but probably not for food or snacks.
It's Sunday Dec 11, 2022 at 7:42 am. We came in here and the place was empty. The guy behind the counter, the barista, looked and acted like he didn't want us in here. We ordered some coffee and cappuccino and they tasted burnt and too strong. I asked the guy behind the desk for some milk since it was black and he gave me 1.5 ounces of milk. I poured it into my coffee and it's still too strong. I asked for a bit more and he gave me half the previous amount but someone else who was with me wanted it because his drink was too strong also. So I gave that to him. I asked this guy behind the counter for just a little bit more, which is when he started yelling at me, saying that he gave me free milk already. He started yelling and giving both of us terrible attitude. I have never been to a coffee shop like this. I strongly do not recommend coming here. Terrible, but expensive, burnt coffee and a barista with a hostile attitude, who doesn't want to do his job but listen to the deafening music that is so loud that you can't even hear the people around you!
We came here on Sunday morning at 8am, December 11. The person working the counter (a big young guy) had a terrible attitude and refused to give up more milk motivating it by claiming that cappuccino does not need more milk. The cappuccino he made was terrible. He was overall rude and aggressive and refused to give us his name. Naturally, we're not coming back.
I got my favorite Fredo Espresso and Boughatsa 🇬🇷! Loved it.
Food was good (especially if you have a massive sweet tooth)! Cookies were okay, in my opinion — French toast was absolutely amazing!
A reliable place for a good coffee, be it a latte or drink coffee, with a good working atmosphere, a good variety of tables, kind service and a few food options that looked fresh and filling.
