I had an oat milk mocha and a chocolate chip muffin - both delicious. The staff were friendly. There’s a patio area with several well-spaced tables. This place welcomes dogs on the patio, and they give out milk bones so your dog can get a treat, too.

Great black owned neighborhood coffee shop. I live in the neighborhood and my first time visiting was recently on Easter. I had a caramel macchiato and it was good. I also enjoyed the neo-soul vibes and tunes of Erykah Badu. Nice touch! Love the black authored books you can read/purchase as well. The barista was also very nice.

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in DC. Not only are the vibes amazing, but the coffee is divine. The seasonal drinks have never let me down and their monthly coffee subscription has been a game changer. Even though I moved from the neighborhood, I always find my way back to Creative Grounds first. Love, love, love.

Vibes were hella off in here somehow.. looked like a good place to do a smidge of work during the day but people were unaware in how loud they were speaking on conference calls and it kinda clashed with the sza album that was played three times in a row

Had our kiddo's birthday here and it was amazing. They personalized the decoration and activities and kept the kids engaged. Wonderful service and everyone had so much fun!

the drink and food were both great and reasonably priced, the overall atmosphere was also super great, especially the paintings hung up.

Sweet local place! Reasonable prices, especially for the area, and tasty drinks. 2 espresso drinks (one iced and flavored, the other hot and not) were $10, including a $1 tip. Outdoor seating was pleasant, indoors was comfortable and sufficient. Aesthetic inside is a little bare/minimalist right now, so I enjoyed the outdoor a bit more for while the weather lasts.

Really nice place! The vibes are perfect for a morning catch up date or an afternoon of homework. I had two iced vanilla lattes (both great) and a really good coffee cake!

Run to Creative Grounds for your coffee fix. I needed three gallons of coffee for a breakfast meeting and wanted to support a local and minority owned coffee shop. Creative Grounds exceeded my expectations, down to delivering coffee to my meeting location. Great communication with the owner and reasonably priced.

Mi amiga loves it. I don't. There are only 2 sizes for coffee and neither are large yet it carries the sticker tag of a large. When they realize you're staying, they give you your $6 beverage in a teacup, like the teeny 8oz teacups, not a good ole 12-16 oz like it should be for those who work from there for hours. The lavender drink they promote is overrated. Snickerdoodle flavor is seasonal and yummy but all the good stuff was at the bottom of the cup. Wasted goodness.

I love this place. The coffee is good, the service is friendly, the wifi is adequate, and there is plenty of seating for working or socializing. The outdoor window and seating area means you don't have to go inside at all. Plus, it feels great to support a worker-owned establishment.
