Cameo

Wonderful coffee shop tucked in amongst a series of restaurants on the ground floor of the Black Bird building just south of the metro stop. A very tasty iced latte with a proprietary syrup called Little Miss Sunshine was recommended by the friendly staff; they have wonderful pastries and cozy couches in addition to traditional seating.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Capitol Hill. The taste is just amazing and the service is very good. I highly recommend it.

Great place to eat and get a cup of coffee. Was easy to find parking when I was there.

I had a cortado and it was perfect. Not many places get it right. Really enjoyed the art work for sale.

Nice shared space with a host of food and beverage options. Very chill vibes and a nice way to spend an hour or so relaxing.

I stopped by this coffee shop off the random to work out some 2023 goals. Cameo is located in the food hall called The Roost in SE DC, off Pennsylvania Ave. - I ordered the Mocha and the Avocado, Egg & Cheese sandwich. Both were phenomenal! - The Mocha, though kinda pricey (one of the pricier drinks on the menu), is in my top 5 best Mocha I've had in the DC area. I ended up ordering a second mug of Mocha. - The Avocado, Egg & Cheese sandwich, though also a little pricey for what you get, was quite yummy. Perfectly buttered/season. The eggs do come scrambled on the sandwich, so I requested mine over medium. I think too much aioli was added, but it didn't take away too much from the overall taste. I do recommend this coffee shop. Ideally, it's best to come early to grab a booth seat (maybe before noon). There's seating on the couches and chairs facing the windows with small round tables. In addition to coffee/hot drinks and breakfast sandwiches, they also have some pastries and some cold drinks. The breakfast ends at 3pm. The staff is also very friendly & easygoing. There is ample street parking near The Roost.

The coffee is stellar. A great place to work for a couple hours in the morning.

Need more syrups

The coffee is good and I have ordered most of the items on the coffee list. Most of the staff is nice and they make my drink correctly. Very quaint place.

Good coffee, well lit, comfortable couches! Maybe a little loud for doing work, but great vibes for sitting and talking/reading a book.

Latte with oat milk, refreshing!

There is no sign outside so I was kinda lost. First of all, I really like the place. It is bright that has big window. There are variety of seating options. I like the colors of their decoration. I ordered ginger coffee and it was really good even though the flavor of ginger was not that strong which I like. The staff was really kind and friendly

Great coffee spot in the Roost. Delicious pastries as well. Highly recomend for your caffeine fix.

The baristas are very friendly and it’s a nice area to relax. But their hot drinks are NEVER hot, they are always lukewarm. They have interesting seasonal drink concepts, but the execution needs some tweaking. I tried the peach cobbler latte and there were little peach chunks at the bottom :(

Great place to work remotely or to just enjoy a cup.of.coffee

Pricey and not special. Oat milk is $1 extra, and the flavored lattes are $6+. Only positive is that it came out quickly.
