Excellent little Cafe! I had a Reuben and it was delicious! The staff were very friendly and had the sandwich done fast! Will definitely be back to try other things!

What a neighborhood treasure. We were on vacation staying at the Hilton Capitol Hill and went for breakfast every morning of our stay. Cafe Phillips has friendly staff, great coffee and made to order breakfast sandwiches. Great morning stop if you are in the neighborhood.

This place should have MUCH higher reviews. Excellent made to order sandwiches with good quality ingredients. Great variety for chip and drink options. Very friendly service. A sandwich, chips, drink comes to about $18 - which is average for a lunch in this area. Well worth it.

Dropped in for the first time after forgetting my breakfast rushing to work and I have to say I'll be back. Space was clean and well organized, even if it is a bit small. Tons of grab&go options. Cashier had no qualms about pausing her meal to wring me up and make me a red eye. Lady working the griddle was very fast. I was in and out in a little over 5 minutes with a good coffee and a basic but very filling breakfast burrito.

I go here almost every day for lunch. They custom make any sandwich I’m in the mood for, and anything that touches their griddle in the back ends up being delicious. The staff are friendly, make great food, and are all around awesome.

I normally go there for morning coffee or espresso. Which is very good! But today I choose to go for lunch big mistake! Their prices are crazy as hell. $10.99 for a Turkey sandwich maybe the going rate for the area, but 2.00 for 1 slice of cheese. Not to mention on the menu it says 1.00 and when I bring it to the cashiers attention she say oh the price for cheese went up today . I honestly wanted to have them refund my card asap! But I didn’t feel like going through the drama. Hopefully it will be worth the price!

Small little cafe that hits above its weight. Great options, lunch sandwiches are of great value and quality for DC. Ample breakfast options too. Bit tight inside for eating there bit has a nice patio. Go-to when I'm in the neighborhood and need breakfast or lunch!

Had Reuben with sauerkraut and REAL Russian dressing at least twice now. Gooey cheese, piping hot bread. I don't know how in the world this place has so few positive reviews. In addition, they have a great selection of drinks. Multi flavors of Joe's drinks, Snapple, etc. No plain coke and Pepsi offerings here. Staff has been more than pleasant even when it's really crowded. I would give them five stars but the seating is strange. I don't like it when someone's butt touches me as they pass by when I'm sitting at a table. My only take away. I love this place.

HORRIBLE! I've never been to a place with so many rules! No breakfast after 10:30...no fries until noon...Splenda is kept behind the register (inside secret only regulars know)...out of order sign on restroom (ask if they have a restroom and they'll hand you the key if you've purchased something. They'll slide it to you as if you have a disease, but gladly open their palms to receive your cash). I'm OVER this ratchet place! 2 words: Don't go!
