An IVY city location. Stale (dense) blueberry muffin, good raspberry crumble bar (not much else, so had to go with it). My main complaint: the space is not cozy, there are only 2 small tables, my husband, toddler and I shared a seat on the sofa that other customers kindly let us use. I just don't get why not have tables and chairs if you serve food. I felt reluctant to buy anything , but have already promised a muffing to my son and had to get it somewhere and this cafe is the only coffee spot in that area. Which makes me repeat my question: why not have chairs for the customers?
The breakfast croissant was delicious
Very overpriced. Food kinda bland and lacks flavor. Focus less on aesthetics and make better tasting food.
Do not eat at the Ivy City location! If you order any of the pastries or pre-made food, you are guaranteed to get something stale or inedible. I’ve been multiple times and wasted so much money buying items I don’t end up eating. This morning I got the STALEST blueberry muffin I’ve ever had in my life. A boxed muffin from Target was better than what I was served. Ive given them so many chances and it’s clear they only focus their quality on the Eaton Hotel location.
New favorite breakfast 🥪 sandwich in DC! Their bacon/egg/cheese sandwich on toasted sourdough is amazing! No pics to post because I'm too excited to eat it everytime, that I forget to take photos first (also, how photogenic is a sandwich, I mean, really?). I recently tried adding tomatoes which really elevated it even more!
I had a Jambon Buerre sandwich: “One of Chef Matt Baker's Favorites* Classic French Ham & Cheese on Baguette with Butter and Cornichons.” Ham and swiss served ice cold with clumped butter on stale bread. The pickles were a nice touch. I eat just about anything and I am not one to waste food, and even I had to throw this disaster away.
Very disappointing food . we ordered the short rib sandwich which was meant to come with red onion marmalade . when the sandwich arrived, there was no red onion marmalade . we then told the staff who then attempted to rectify the error . we ended up with bits of semi cooked red onion which was nothing like red onion marmalade . overall the quality of the sandwich was below par . the fried chicken sandwich was also poorly executed . the accompanying salads were unseasoned . the amount of plastic used to serve these dishes was also disappointing especially at the time when climate change is a big topic . given the surroundings plus the fact that we paid 14 dollars per sandwich i expected better .
We enjoyed wonderful sandwiches: Cubano, pimento fried chicken, and Truffle grilled cheese. Hard to select the favorite! The kale pasta salad was good enough to make a meal by itself! FInished off with soft and fresh chocolate chip cookies along with a buttery raspberry crumb bar, Brenda was very helpful and cheerful. Highly recommend for a tasty and healthy lunch.
Delish cookies
Beware be cautious bugs in food don’t get order right out dated contained food establishment untidy check food before leaving out and biting into it oh check expiration date on container also
The chefs breakfast sandwich is so delicious! Great place for takeout
I wanted to give a S/O to "DJ the delivery driver". His customer service was impeccable. He also took time to give me the history of the Restaurant while sharing the great choices of fresh juices the store provides. I have visited this store on several occasion and everyone has great customer service.
Best grilled cheese sandwich I’ve had in years! The chickpea salad was a nice side. You must give this tiny place a try!!
Fantastic breakfast in Ivy City! Great staff and yummy food & cappuccino.
Shockingly good sandwiches. I can't believe it and can't wait to go back. Pastries in comparison are kinda just ok.
I decided to give this place a try( it got great Google reviews). In any case I came in only to be ignored by the check out girl for 5 minutes. Then I was told they were out of more than half of the breakfast items, and the other items were pre-made and could not be altered. I left spending close to 10 dollars on a cold almond croissant and mediocre iced coffee. There are plenty of places in DC worth spending your hard earned money. This is not one of them. ( Still looking for a killer breakfast sandwich).
Amazing! First time ordering here an well worth it! I ordered the Smoked Salmon Toast, it was huge an amazing! Love the salmon wasn’t salty at all, the avocado was so fresh an sliced to perfection. My only feedback was the assembly, avocado was on one side, tomatoes on the other and salmon an pickled onions all over. Brownie was good a little chewy on the corners but not overly sweet. Ice coffee was good but way too much ice, two good sips an I was done :( Still can’t get over how amazing the toast was I can’t wait to have it again.
Disappointed. We paid $5 for a very stale croissant. Beware.
Over priced. Placed a pickup order and was never contacted it was ready so when I took initiative to come get my food it was cold.
Egg sandwich was amazing would recommend.
