Super yummy coffee! House latte was so good!
Austin roots, Colorado home - we had the mocha and split the open face bagel after a dip in the hot springs. It’s a short walk across the bridge from the resort at Pagosa so we went back for the lemon blueberry muffin. Yum!
Awesome coffee house. We went multiple times on our 2 days here!
Such a cute, cute, cute little coffee house and store! Clean, friendly, delicious coffees, and overall just a wonderful place to stop by!
Maybe I'm the outlier. Maybe I'm the one that doesn't "get" the concept. Showed up at opening time (7:00 a.m.), one (larger) party ahead of me. They are clearly regulars (as the interaction with the cashier shows); I clearly am not. Reach the register, and I'm asked, "How are you doing?". "Living the dream! How about you?" I warmly reply. "What can I get for you?" is the response. Ok, pleasantries are over, fine. Ordered a couple of lattes, super simple. Large party gets theirs. Great, mine is next (I think). Party behind me gets theirs....and the party after that....and the party after that... Had to ask where my order was after about 15 minutes, since literally everyone else who ordered before and after me got theirs. "What did you have again?" Finally got my lattes, and a piece of coffee cake thrown in for being ignored. Walked out at 7:20; again, second in line. The large party ahead of me had already finished their coffees and pastries, and walked out, by the time I got mine. You never get a second chance to make a first impression. Mine wasn't favorable.
Best lavender latte I’ve had! We also got a cappuccino, blueberry muffin, and cheddar bacon croissant. All were phenomenal. We are just stopping through pegosa springs but will absolutely be coming back. The store is also beautiful to sit inside or outside.
Great bloody Mary's for brunch!
By far one of the coolest coffee spots I’ve ever been to! If you’re in Pagosa, be sure to stop by, grab a coffee, and check out their amazing retail!
Always a good coffee shop, great owner, cool people, lots of locals, good merch. A bit of food if your wanting a breakfast snack or a lunch. I go there every time I'm in town, which is regularly.
The donuts and cookies are amazing. I was so surprised. Been here 10 years and just stopped in after finishing the river walk. Yum.
Great coffee house, excellent baked goods!
walked in and gave the barista a warm, "Good Morning". And she felt like she could just stare at me blankly and not respond, I wonder who raised someone like this never mind manages them in a customer service position The hours are posted wrong on Google so I arrived an hour early because obviously no one knows how to run this place and the management is either absent or incompetent Half of this place is devoted to selling tourist trinkets at the sacrifice of floorplan warmth and lay out This place has all of the warmth and vibrance of a Starbucks kiosk at a busy mall in Wisconsin. $3.00 for a cup of coffee $1.00 tip. stood in line for 12 minutes watching these people work at a ridiculous pace I could even get a refill had to leave The employees are all very very young and they have one speed no matter how many people are in the place or how many people are in line. SLOW. Like watching the grass grow or golf on Sunday afternoon television Just left such a bad taste in my mouth I'm not going to be recommending this place to many visitors and my word goes a long long way Because I never once in my entire life never responded to somebody when they said good morning to me no matter where I was never mind in a customer service position behind the counter
The latte I had was next level good. I'm always a little apprehensive when trying new coffee but this place did not disappoint. Will definitely be back. The aesthetic is great too! I also had a delicious slice of lemon cake.
I will definitely return to do some shopping. Who knew a coffee house could have such a memorable and great experience... yall set the standards high for other coffee shops Keep up the good work yall Loved it!!!!!!
My mother and I got drinks here. Both the coffee and the tea tasted good. Some of the trinkets sold here were neat. It looks across the river to the hot springs. They do have a coffee with a whiskey option, which I had never seen before. I would stop in here again.
Bit pricey, but considering they are made in house it made it worth. Sausage breakfast balls taste 10/10 Drinks are decent, Higher grounds has more variety Probably one of the nicest more Boojie shops by product & looks in town
This coffee shop was a nice little stop for coffee. They had a number of things on the menu that were marked as sold out, but I enjoyed my iced latte. The roast is darker than some but good flavor. Nice selection of gifts in the shop as well.
Happened on this little gem and I love it! They make the BEST Flat White in all of Colorado not to Mention their coffee is divine! They have a fun little shop with some very cool stuff.
The Root House is top knotch and World Class I have been a batista in 3rd wave cafes in Boulder, San Francisco, New Zealand and Melbourne Australia. One thing you realize is you can have a high end set up and still end up with a bad drink because it takes skills to pour rosettas and have it taste perfect to the last drop! I was served a proper flat white with authentic interactions and a cozy environment that you don’t want to leave. One Love!
Great atmosphere, great coffee and great staff! Made it a point to go every day that we were in town
