Stopped at Mr Burro Cafe because our favorite Fairplay coffee shop was closed, and I think I have a new favorite! The staff here are the BEST, so friendly, and make great drinks. I ordered a half decaf/half caf and a non-dairy iced coffee, and they didn't blink an eye. While I was waiting they served someone a peppermint hot chocolate and the presentation was beautiful. When I got my drinks, they even made sure that I tasted them to make sure the ratios were good. Top notch. Cute indoors. Cute patio between there and Casa Sanchez. It would be a great place to stop and sip a drink.
This is such a charming hole in the wall café! We made 2 stops here during our stay in Fairplay and our waitress had amazing customer service skills. Lattes and hot chocolate are amazing. Both the avocado toasts they serve are very unique and delicious. The croissant sandwiches were a little bland for my taste but still good nonetheless. If you're in the surrounding area stopping at this café is a must!
I never NEVER give 5 stars. This is the lone exception. We've eaten here once and will not likely eat here again. Not for a failure of this place but because it's about 900 miles away from us! All of the accolades about it are likely justified judging from our lone experience here. The lunch sandwiches and wraps were wonderful and BIG. Service was quick and authentic (I positively hate fake enthusiasm and deference to customers). We had no problem with the food, and we usually can find something no matter where we go. Some accident happened in the kitchen, I think, and this left 1 person to host, wait, cook, and bus a busy lunch hour. Sure, some things got missed, delayed, etc. But, this woman was, and I can't stress this enough, a force. That must have been an owner because nobody works that hard with such a positive attitude if they don't own the place. I don't know if this place will survive as a restaurant... the odds are against ANY place much less one providing such good food, unique choices for the area and service as this one. BUT, I will bet on that woman. No matter what she does. I'm against tipping in general and am "one of those" that tips based on service and not on the cost of the meal. If you're ready this, THAT is why I tipped you (YOU) so much and encouraged you as we left. Your efforts, in the face of a busy lunch crowd, problems in the kitchen/staff, etc and the way you handled it with professionalism is the exact purchase of tipping. If you ever find yourself needing help, In whatever you do in life, let me know. I'll invest in you. I wish I had 10 of you in my businesses.
Friendliest service I have ever experienced in a coffee place!
I LOVE this place!! The owners are the sweetest, with amazing customer service skills! The food is soooo good, you literally cannot go wrong with anything that you order! Coffee is really amazing too. Adorable space, delicious food and drinks, and incredible staff. Don’t miss out on this local treasure.

Absolutely adorable little coffee shop! Beautiful ambiance, super cozy, and they made a killer spicy chai tea served with an almond cookie. Will definitely become a regular stop on my way to the mountains. Myra the owner is so sweet.
This new restaurant is quaint and charming. The food is great as is the service. I highly recommend eating here.
We stopped in for a bite due to the Hwy 24 closure. We're glad we did! My wife ordered the avocado toast, and I ordered the muffaleta bagel. Is love to come back for breakfast.
This was some of the best avocado toast I have ever had! They also made me a side chicken breast grilled that was delicious. Great service, even better food. This will be a continuing stop for my family on the way from Denver to crested butte.
This place is so amazing! The people who work there are exceptionally nice and the food is so yummy and fresh. The restaurant is super clean and so pleasant to be in! This is how all restaurants should be. Portions are also great! Totally recommend if you’re looking for an amazing lunch spot.
Myra was friendly and engaging. The food was awesome! One of the best Reubens I've ever had, as good as I've had in a NY City deli! Veggie wrap with spicy ranch was fabulous too.
We arrived here today to the warmest welcome so far on our two week trip. The young lady is sincere, super efficient, polite and helpful and the food is as astounding as the service. If we lived nearby we certainly be back every week. Price, Portions and quality, freshness of the food is admired. Keep up the hard work Mr Burrito team. Lisa and John from Scotland
Absolutely outstanding! Great food, clean cafe, yes its tight seating inside but they really take care of you here!!!
Surprisingly fabulous! The service and atmosphere were excellent and our sandwiches....out of this world. I haven't ever had a BLT with a half pound of bacon and his Reuben was delicious! We will come back!

Stopped here for a quick double espresso. On our way to Breckenridge and the staff is so kind. I’d definitely stop by here again!
What a perfect coffee shop! The atmosphere was amazing, the staff was friendly and the owner was awesome. Tons of choices for hot/cold/frozen drinks and coffee. Also many choices for breakfast sandwiches and lunch/dinner. We will be stopping here again on our way out.
I haven't even finished all of my breakfast yet as I sit here, but this place deserves more than 5 stars. Absolutely amazing staff and the food is out of this world. 10/10 recommend
As a local living in Fairplay, it is such a joy to have the Mr. Burro Cafe in our community. The service is absolutely exceptional and the owners are so friendly and bend over backwards to make sure your experience is top notch. AND on top of that, the food is fresh and tasty. It's a great place to stop for a coffee to go, or grab a table and get a little bit of work done. Love it!
