go here for a cuppa. Best espresso in aspen. I cant comment on anything else, but what else are we here for? oh yeah, brekkies are legit bring your own cup for 25% discount. expect an automatically included 22% service charge and a high level of barista blasé. it IS a coffee spot in Aspen, and cafe pretention is rampant worldwide, regardless of class or quality.

I visit daily. Staff is super kind. Baked goods outstanding. Premium coffee and other drinks. Highly recommended for your Aspen routine. Dog treats at the counter!

Extremely overpriced! I got 2 doughnuts and a latte and paid $30, yeah, I know its Aspen, but you can get a great lunch for that price. They automatically add 20% gratuities and there is no option to opt out, like really for putting the doughnuts on a plate? What kind of service did you provide? All the tables were dirty, with crumbs, looks like the stuff doesn't care at all. The barista guy was sitting on the counter on his phone, he could clean all the tables for those tips. All their furniture is miss matched, like they got it from the thrift store.Never again!

Extraordinarily overpriced. Mandatory 20% service fee, even though no service is provided. They charge this fee and then just put a paper or plastic cup on the counter like Starbucks. Additionally, in order to “keep Aspen real, accessible, and radically local”, you have to pay a $225/month membership fee in order to sit down. By that twisted definition of “accessible”, they mean only accessible by the rich, and not by the people that actually keep Aspen real.

Local has quickly become my go-to coffee shop in Aspen. You won’t find a friendlier or more attentive staff, always warm and welcoming, always remembering my order. Love the atmosphere, love the food, and it’s the best cup of coffee you’ll find in town. Thank you Local for making me feel like a local. :)

I normally love getting the burrata, but they didn’t have that so I decided to get a quiche instead. They didn’t offer to warm it up (this was on a 15 degree Fahrenheit morning), and one of the employees was sitting on the counter where food and drinks were placed. There was two people working and two people in the store. Both were a bit rude and didn’t seem to care about being there. Try Spring Street Cafe instead.

Super Rude Staff! I came here to get some work done and asked for a tea. When the cashier rang up my tea, I noticed that 20 percent service fee had been applied even though I didn’t select it and there was no where to unselect it. When I asked the cashier what the service fee was for, she didn’t have an answer and instead loudly said, “I guess I can take it off for you if you don’t want to pay the service fee.” I said, “yes” because this is a serve yourself coffee shop where you get your own drinks from the bar area and they only serve to-go so you throw out the drinks yourself. It’s inappropriate to charge customers a service fee automatically that they are unable to change themselves without verbally telling the cashier. Next, the blonde girl in the fur vest (in the picture) is a staff member who literally fell into me while she walking from the “members only” area. For context I was sitting in the blue chair and they have an unmarked curtain for members vs non members area behind the chair that staff uses to walk through. She fell onto me and spilled drinks on herself and me and didn’t apologize or check to see if I was ok. Finally, the area I was sitting in was covered in crumbs and random garbage and when I asked the staff if they would be able to wipe it down they looked confused and annoyed. Don’t go here!!! So rude and classless.

Used to love coming here before the whole membership program. I was kicked out for working on my computer without a membership by rude staff after paying them the complimentary 20% mark up on my food and burnt coffee. Would not recommend anymore.

Great coffee, affordable eats and community space. The new model at Local/HereHouse puts community gathering first. You can grab coffee on-the-go coffee or sign up for the new membership program that includes free coffee and fun programming almost daily - Après, trivia, live music, speakers, and more. Here House is Aspen's living room.

Here House is amazing! I visited aspen for an extended trip and Here House made it possible to have a place to take a meetings, work on my computer, and participate in carefully curated events to meet great folks and build my network here. In addition, the owners of HH are unbelievable generous and helpful. I highly recommend Here House for anyone spending time in Aspen looking to establish a work life balance in the mountains. You'll make amazing connections and enjoy the heck out of the events they throw almost every night of the week. Also, fantastic coffee and fantastic food! Do yourself a favor, join Here House before your next trip to Aspen.

I just ate the yummiest pistachio cake EVER, I love the co-working vibe, and always meet amazing humans, especially at the intellectually enlivening and community connecting event series. Owner Michaela Carpenter-Olson & her family are true community servants who has become a close friends.

This used to be one of my favorite breakfast places in Aspen. Their breakfast sandwich was out of this world! Unfortunately food is something that they no longer serve at Local Coffee House. It is now only served at the Here House club next to it. So to get my hands on my beloved breakfast sandwich again I would have to pay $1800 a year!!! I will forever remember this place for what it was and not the cash grab it has become.

This used to be one of the best coffee shops + breakfast — they ruined it by turning it into members only. A bummer for Aspen.

Way too overpriced. Two eggs, three pieces of bacon, and half a slice of toast for $17.

1 oat latte + 1 shot in the dark + 1 pastry= $27. They automatically charge 18% gratuity even for take out… Pastry and coffee was good, so if you want to spend $27 on those three items then do it up!
